Hello Doctor, I am about 22 years. On December 5th I met with an accident and had a left ankle fracture. On doctor consultant I was under cast for 6 weeks and the cast as been removed. This pain that you have now is the post imobilisation pain. The joint now will be stiff and muscles around must have become weak. Pls visit a physiotherapist at the earliest who can movilise the joint to increase the range and decrease the pain. Also to start good strengthening exs.

You can regain your previous strength post collarbone fracture but you need to start physiotherapy as soon as the orthopedic allows. You will probably need good mobilization and strength training.

Non-Surgical Treatment For Slipped Disc

Spinal decompression therapy is a technology used to treat disc injuries in the neck and low back.

 It 'decompresses' the spinal structures. The vacuum effect thus created by the separation of vertebrae from each other is also known as 'negative intra discal pressure' which helps in reducing compression on the nerves.

The cycles of decompression and partial relaxation over a series of visits promote the diffusion of water, oxygen and nutrient-rich fluids from outside the disc to inside. These nutrients enable the torn and degenerated disc fibres to begin healing.

Knock knees is usually congenital. Hence you cannot" remove" knock knees! you need to do some strength training targeting the hip knees and ankle so that you can possibly avoid or prolong the onset of degenerative changes that may occur in the long run.

If the pain has started after your fall then most likely it may be because of some form of trauma inflicted then. You may have hurt the leg directly or your spine which could give radiating pain down your leg. It will be advisable to get yourself examined by a doctor as soon as possible.

If no swelling then do hot water fomentation twice daily. Google these exercises- 1. Knee isometrics/ static quadriceps, 2. Straight leg raise, 3. Vmo strengthening, 4. Dynamic quadriceps- sitting on a chair straighten the knee and hold for 5 counts. Do all the exs 10 times and twice a day. Avoid sitting cross legged esp down on the floor. Use western toilets. If this does not help then please get the knees examined by a physiotherapist.

A good strength training programme should help you. Pls get yourself examined by a physiotherapist. It will help you deal with your pain better. As of now avoid lifting heavy weights or any kind of strenous activities. Do hot fomentation twice daily. Postural correction- always sit with a small pillow at your low back. Sit tall, walk tall.
