Hi lybrate-user, you are doing good in controlling portions and there's no harm in frequent eating or eating small portions at short interval of time. The need is to choose healthy options. You can binge on healthy roasted snacks/namkeen/makhana/fruits/salads/any clear soup/fresh seasonal juice/herbal juices/coconut water. 2) another option is to drink water before meals. That will help you in overeating. 3) you can also split your meals like if you are suppose to eat chapaties with veg+dal+curd+slaads. So do not all of these together. You can eat a bowl of salads first, after some time chapati with veg, then a bowl of dal and after half an hr curd. In this way you will never feel hungry and of course no overeating too.

Hi lybrate-user, I will suggest you to do start doing 1 hr yoga or pranayam if you are not able to exercise and consult anybody personally (weight managment consultant) to lose. There may be any health issue precipitating which would have caused to gain that much. I can help you out in losing weight in a healthy way, but for that you need to be determined enough.

Hi, here are some tips which you can include in your lifestyle: restrict your sugar intake to 1 spoon per day. Avoid late dinners. Plenty of water intake. Plenty of fibre rich diet in form of fruits, salads, oats, flax, bran, whole wheat cereals. Have good amount of probiotics in your diet like yogurt. 45 minutes any physical activity on daily basis. Avoid overusage of salt intake. Have small meals at short intervals of time. Eat 2/3rd of your appetite. Start with 4 sets of" suryanamaskaar" twice a day, gradually increasing 1 set everyday. Bhujangaasan and pawanmuktasan are also very benifitial in belly fat. Pls see if you ofter feel gastric or bloating, then have more vata pacifying things like heeng, ajwain etc. Try these small changes in your lifestyle, these will definitely help. You can contact me if interested in particular dietary regimen based upon your ayurvedic body type, blood group and health issues along with suggested ayurvedic /kitchen herbs for your minor illnesses.

Hello Doctor, I want to loose weight and for I need your advice regarding my diet. I start my day with a glass of tea which has green tea, guava leaves, lemon grass, tulsi leaves all boiled together mixed with lemon juice and honey. After an hour, Then I have an apple with 5 soaked almonds and 1 anjeer. After an hour, I have breakfast which constitutes of sooji upma/ poha/ sevai upma etc. After 2 hrs I have 2-3 types of fruits one each. Then after 2 hrs I have a glass of mixed vegetables juice. After 2 hrs I have some fruits and then at 7-7: 30 pm I have my dinner which constitutes of 2 roti, any dry vegetable, a bowl of daal and an onion. Please let me know whether I need to change my diet plan. Thanks in advance.

Hi lybrate-user, pls do not give very long gaps in your meals. There is a long gap between your lunch and dinner meals. Second thing, your are keeping your lunch lighter and dinner is comparitively more than lunch. Better swap your lunch and dinner options as dinner should be lighter. Our metabolism gets sluggish by the end of the day so it takes more time to digest in night. You should also incorporate some of the other herbs like flax seeds, curry leaves etc for your health issues like pcod. Hope this will help. Regards.
