I was operated on hip with dhs 3 months back and everything is normal till now but from 2 days I have tingling feeling and restless legs which is making me worried and my other parts of the body started paining because of my walking posture change. What should be done next?

Hi there As Dhs is done in case of femur fractures most of the time. There is a possibility that something is pressing your sciatic nerve which turns along the head of the femur from the inferior to the anterior side of femur. This compression of sciatic nerve can be because of implant or muscle tightness. It's hard to reach any conclusion in this case. I would like to suggest you to get back to your doctor and tell him about it.

I have heel pain daily at early morning. It takes 5 minutes to normal walk. I am. 49 years old.

Hi there most common reason for heal pain is plantar fascitis, which can be caused due inflammation of the plantar fascia due to heel spurs. You can try ice massage your heels and do stretching of your feet and do movements of your foot joints passively with other hand. Further consult your nearest physiotherapist for more info.

Hi there symptoms of chikungunya can last for few days to few years in some patients. As pain in joints and weakness in muscles are the most common symptom which remains and can cause feeling of disability in the sufferers and can lead to joint arthritis too further. There are few ways to follow by which a sound recovery can be possible from the disease which are: -to have healthy nutritional diet. - have proper calcium, vitamins and minerals - physiotherapy treatment to ease pain and strengthening of muscles and joints. - acquire healthy lifestyle for example doing yoga in the morning, drinking lots of water throughout the day, morning walks and so on. - regular health checkups. Hope you get well soon.

Hi there I would suggest you to go to an orthopedic doctor just in case if there can be a hairline fracture or muscle injury as you r having difficulty in walking. And yes you can use hot water fermentation at home or applying cold pack several times its day would be more beneficial till 48 hours after injury.

Sometimes ago in an answer Doctor suggested me MIPI for for my back pain. Sir what is MIPI?
Hi there MIPI (minimally invasive pinhole interventions) is a super specialty treatments of the medical science, devoted to the use of minimally-invasive techniques such as neurotomy, radiofrequency ablation, percutaneous disc procedures, vertebral augmentation, pain relief implants (including spinal cord stimulation and peripheral nerve stimulation), and implantable drug delivery systems. With the help of these treatments either it is tried to remove the root cause of pain or if not possible, interrupt the flow of pain signals to brain along specific pain nerves in the spine or outside the spine. Hope this information was helpful to you.

Hi there Excessive urination at night is known as nocturia. It can be a sign of underlying medical condition. Common causes of nocturia are urinary tract infection or bladder infection but can be caused by other conditions like diabetes, anxiety, bladder over activeness. Side effects of some medicines like diuretics or anti hypertension drugs can be nocturia. I would suggest you to take her to a good urologist and get treatment. Hope she gets well soon.

I have neck pain no relief How can relief the pain Suggestion please Neck is not moving sides.
Hi there Stiff neck or neck pain can be caused by straining a muscle by maintaining bad posture, whiplash injury, sleeping in an awkward position and much more. You can follow these steps to manage your pain: Take regular doses of paracetamol or ibuprofen or a combination of the two, to control pain – ibuprofen gel can be rubbed on to your neck as an alternative to taking tablets. Try holding a hot water bottle or heat pack to your neck – this can help reduce the pain and any muscle spasms, although some people find cold packs offer better relief. Sleep on a low, firm pillow at night – using too many pillows may force your neck to bend unnaturallycheck your posture – bad posture can aggravate the pain, and it may have caused it in the first place. Avoid wearing a neck collar – there's no evidence to suggest wearing a neck collar will help to heal your neck, and it's generally better to keep your neck mobileavoid driving if you find it difficult to turn your head – this may prevent you being able to view traffic. If your neck is stiff or twisted, try some neck exercises – gently tense your neck muscles as you tilt your head up and down and from side to side, and as you carefully twist your neck from left to right; these exercises will help strengthen your neck muscles and improve the range of motion of your neck.

Hi there, Although every pregnancy and delivery is different for women, it is usually advised for them to wait for six weeks after birth before resuming exercise. However, it is believed that if you have exercised throughout your pregnancy and had a natural delivery, you can safely do any form of exercise soon after giving birth. Still would like to suggest you to start with kegel exercises which are for pelvic floor muscles and light exercises and avoid heavy stressful exercises. And congratulations for your baby.

I have a pain at my left side which starts from waist and via thigh and leg it ends at foot. I am experiencing the pain for the last 5-6 years. I work in a PSU bank and so I was posted in small towns in North-East India at that period and the problem was unattended and I took sometimes pain killers and sometimes Patanjali medicines. Now the pain occurs 2-3 times a year mainly in winter. For the last 3 times my waist got twisted slightly and I was unable to walk due to severe pain. This time it gets worse as I am unable to walk, move and sleep at night. This time I consulted with a renowned Homeopath and he diagnosed it as sciatica pain and gave me uric acid, creatinine, x-ray and MRI tests of which uric acid and creatinine are normal, MRI not done till now and the x-ray report says the following: Posterior osteophytes are noted in L2 and L3. L2-3 disk space appears slightly reduced. Please advise me that should I continue with homeopathy or I should consult with a neurologist?

Hi there radiating pain mainly occurs when there is compression of nerves because of disc space reduction in lumbar region commonly seen at L2-L5 at any level. I would suggest you to consult a neurologist for better prognosis of the condition and further treatment. You can try physiotherapy treatment as it has given ease from pain and improved condition of many patients with same condition. Hope you get well soon.
