I would suggest to show a neurologist and maybe get an mri done, another reason may be blockages in arteries supplying the arm, which should have been picked up by the general physician or surgeon.

It depends on the level of blood pressure she has, if its less than 160/100 then you can try lifestyle modification like low salt diet, regular exercise, etc, however keep monitoring her blpod pressure and if it is not controlled in 2 months, start medications.

My mother has chest pains every time she does some major work etc. Cleaning or walking for a longer time. She's not been diagnosed with any heart diseases but she has high blood pressure. The pains have started about three days ago and this is the first time that happened.

Please get evaluation at earliest from a cardiologist, this looks like unstable angina and may lead to more serious conditions.
