About Zinderm - Bpo Gel

Used to treat acne, Zinderm - Bpo Gel belongs to a class of drugs called retinoids. It decreases the formation of blackheads and helps to renew skin faster. It helps to heal pimples quicker too by reducing skin inflammation and swelling.

If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of Zinderm - Bpo Gel, it is not be used. If you suffer from sunburn or eczema, its usage is not advised as well. Alert your doctor if you are allergic to Vitamin A drugs and other retinoid drugs such as isotretinoin.

The medicine is usually found in a cream form, and must not be applied to abrasions, cuts or sunburned skin. Avoid contact with eyes as it may cause redness and irritation. Zinderm - Bpo Gel may cause your skin to become sunburned easily, so it is advisable to limit your time in the sun.

Zinderm - Bpo Gel may cause some burning and stinging earlier on. Peeling, redness, scaling and dryness of skin may be seen too. Find medical attention immediately if you experience rashes, difficulty in breathing and swelling of face and lips.

For external use only. Apply with gloves in thin film at night to thoroughly clean/dry skin; avoid area around eyes or mouth. Do not apply occlusive dressing. Results make take 8-12 weeks to appear. You may experience transient burning or stinging immediately after applying.

Report worsening of condition or skin redness, dryness, peeling, or burning that persists between applications.

Apply once daily at bedtime; therapeutic results should be noticed after 8-12 weeks of treatment. Toxic signs of an overdose commonly respond to drug discontinuation, and generally return to normal spontaneously within a few days to weeks.

When confronted with signs of increased intracranial pressure, treatment with mannitol (0.25 g/kg I.V. up to 1 g/kg/dose repeated every 5 minutes as needed), dexamethasone (1.5 mg/kg I.V. load followed with 0.375 mg/kg every 6 hours for 5 days), and/or hyperventilation should be employed.
