About Zafirlukast

Zafirlukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, is used for the prevention and long-term treatment of asthma in patients 5 years of age and older. It should not be used for the treatment of acute asthma attacks. This medicine works by blocking the action of certain chemicals that are responsible for some forms of asthma.
