About Theo-Asthalin Syrup

This medication is a member of the group of drugs called short-acting beta-2 agonists. The syrup is used for the relief of asthma symptoms. It is very useful for preventing symptoms of asthma due to exercise and other conditions. The dosage is based on your age, gender, response to therapy, medical condition, and use of certain interacting medicines.

The medication may cause side effects such as uneven heart beat, flushing, muscle cramps, irritation or dryness of the mouth and throat. Other severe side effects include low blood potassium levels, weakness, restlessness, dizziness, bronchospasm and lactic acidosis.

This syrup should be used with caution in those who have heart problems, high blood pressure and diabetes. Avoid using this syrup if you have an an overactive thyroid gland, infection of the lungs and arrhythmias.
