About Stafcure 500 MG Tablet

This medication is an anti-biotic drug that a part of the class of medicines called cephalosporin. The broad spectrum antibiotic is useful in treating a wide variety of infections that are caused by bacteria. It is used in the treatment of conditions such as

  • Acute or chronic bronchitis
  • Tonsillitis
  • Lyme disease

Also, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, pneumonia, laryngitis, sinusitis and urinary tract infections. This medication works by creating a hostile environment for the bacteria to survive. It damages the cell walls of bacteria, prevents the growth of bacteria and therefore eliminates the bacterial infection.

    • How long is the duration of effect?

      The effect lasts for a duration of 24 to 32 hours.

      The peak effect of this medication can be observed within 1 to 2 hours of administration of the dose.

    • Are there any pregnancy warnings?

      This medication should be given to the breastfeeding women only if extremely needed. Breastfeeding should be avoided for 3-4 hours after single-dose maternal treatment. There is a need of monitoring of candidal infections and diarrhea.

    • Is it habit forming?

      No habit forming tendency has been reported.

    • Are there any breast-feeding warnings?

      Use of this medication is not recommended in breastfeeding women due to an adverse effect on the development of infant's joints. Use only if clearly needed under the supervision of a doctor. Avoid breastfeeding for about 3 to 4 hours to decrease the infant's exposure to this medicine. Monitoring of undesired effects like diarrhea, diaper rash is necessary.
