About Ropinirole

Ropinirole treats and relieves the symptoms of restless leg syndrome and parkinson disease. Being a dopamine agonist, it reduces the symptoms of these conditions by working in certain areas of the brain.

Ropinirole can cause dizziness, nausea, hallucinations, sudden sleep attacks during the daytime and orthostatic hypotension.

Before taking Ropinirole, inform your doctor if you have a liver disease, heart problems, high or low blood pressure, sleep disorder, kidney problems, mental or mood problems, if you drink alcohol, smoke or have a personal or family history of addiction. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before starting the course of the medicine. Avoid taking it if you have previously experienced allergic reactions to Ropinirole.

For Parkinson's disease in adults, the maximum prescribed dose is 24 mg per day, taken in three separate doses spread throughout the day. For restless leg syndrome in adults, the maximum recommended dose is 4 mg per day, taken 1 to 3 hours before bedtime.
