Rapitus Xt Syrup

Being a bronchodilator, Rapitus syrup works by relaxing the muscles around the bronchioles in the lungs and opening them up. This medication is composed of Terbutaline, Acebrophylline, Guaifenesin. This helps air to pass in and out easily of the lungs. It is useful to treat spasms or contractions of the bronchioles seen in asthma, bronchitis and emphysema.

It is not to be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or to a sympathomimetic amine like epinephrine and albuterol. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding. While beta blockers may decrease its effectiveness, insulin’s effectiveness is decreased if taken along with this medication.

This medication is composed of Terbutaline, Acebrophylline, Guaifenesin. Terbutaline causes pharmacological effects. This is assigned to stimulation via beta-adrenergic receptors of the intracellular adenylyl cyclase. Acebrophylline works on certain enzymes that regulate the constriction of smooth muscles. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which reduces adhesiveness and surface tension of congealed mucous in upper respiratory tract to increase flow of mucous, stimulating and increasing efficiency of the cilia to remove the accumulated mucous.
