About Qc-Clav Dry Syrup

Qc-Clav Dry Syrup is a penicillin which is used with antibiotic clarithromycin and helps in the treatment of stomach ulcers caused by bacterial infections wall formed in the stomach. It also helps in conditions such as lungs, skin, middle ear, urinary tract and sinuses. Qc-Clav Dry Syrup also cures conditions like tonsilitis, pneumonia, bronchitis and gonorrhea.

Make sure, you may not use amoxicillin if you are allergic to any penicillin. Amoxicillin makes birth control pills less effective, so ask your doctor about using non hormonal birth to prevent pregnancy.

Many drugs interact with amoxicillin, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Discuss with your doctor about each medicine you use.

Qc-Clav Dry Syrup should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. They are available in liquid form, as chewable tablets and as extended-release tablets. You may take it with or without food.

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup treats infections in the middle ear caused by Streptococci and Staphylococci strains of bacteria.

    • Nose Bleed

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup treats infections in the nose and nasal chamber caused by Streptococci and Staphylococci strains of bacteria.

    • Throat Infection

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup treats infections in the throat and airways leading to lungs namely Tonsillitis and Pharyngitis caused by Streptococci and Staphylococci strains of bacteria.

    • Lower Respiratory Tract Infection

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup helps in treating infections in the airways leading to the lungs. The infection can be Pneumonia, acute bronchitis or others caused by Streptococci and Staphylococci strains of bacteria.

    • Skin Infection

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup treats infections of skin and skin structure caused by Streptococci and Staphylococci strains of bacteria.

    • Urinary Tract Infection

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup treats infections of urinary tube, bladder (Cystitis) and kidneys (Pyelonephritis).

    • Gonorrhea And Associated Infections

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup helps in treating Gonorrhea and associated infections in the urinary tube and the region around the reproductive organs in both male and female.

    • Typhoid Fever

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup treats typhoid and paratyphoid fever.

    • Stomach Ulcers

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup helps in treating stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori. It is normally used in combination with other medications.

    • Dental Abscess

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup treats infection of gums that result in formation of pus around the roots of the tooth.

    • Endocarditis

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup prevents condition where the inner walls of the heart gets swollen.

    • Allergy

      Patients who are highly allergic to amoxicillin or other antibiotics of Penicillins and Cephalosporins groups should not use Qc-Clav Dry Syrup.

    What are the side effects of Qc-Clav Dry Syrup ?

    • Hypersensitivity

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup can cause allergic reactions characterized by rashes on the skin, swelling of face, tongue or throat and difficulty in breathing

    • Diarrhoea

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup causes loose stools along with or without the presence of blood.

    • Fever

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup causes fever along with flu like symptoms including swollen glands; difficulty in breathing; painful joints and difficulty in swallowing food.

    • Joint Pain

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup can cause painful and swollen joints and bones causing discomfort especially in the lower back area.

    • Skin Yellowing

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup can cause jaundice like symptoms viz. yellow skin and eye, dark colored urine, fever, weakness and confusion.

    • Easy Bruising And Bleeding

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup can cause anemia like effect resulting in unusual bleeding and formation of red patches under the skin.

    • Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup causes increased menstrual bleeding.

    • Tooth Discoloration

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup causes yellowing of teeth especially in paediatric patients.

    • Nausea Or Vomiting

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup causes nausea or vomiting and discomfort in the stomach (painful cramps, loss of appetite etc.)

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup causes blackening of tongue and altered sense of taste i.e bad aftertaste or change in taste altogether.

      Qc-Clav Dry Syrup causes symptoms like agitation, lack of sleep, confusion and convulsions.

      Missed dose should be taken as soon as you remember. A dose should be skipped if the time of the second scheduled dose is near. This procedure is followed in conditions like Pulmonary Hypertension where the dose regimen is fixed.

        Alcohol

        Interaction with alcohol is unknown. It is advisable to consult your doctor before consumption.
      • Interaction with Lab Test

        Urine Sugar Test

        Usage of Qc-Clav Dry Syrup should be reported prior to performing the test. The urine sugar test should be performed with different reagents in such cases.
      • Interaction with Medicine

        Doxycycline

        Do not use this medication with Doxycycline and also report the usage of other antibiotics to the doctor.

        Methotrexate

        Usage of this medication with Methotrexate or other chemotherapy medicines should be reported to the doctor. The levels of Methotrexate in the body along with symptoms of toxicity should be closely monitored while both these medicines are taken.

        Warfarin

        If you are using this medication with Warfarin, you should report it to the doctor. The clotting time should be monitored promptly. Symptoms like increased bleeding, swelling, dizziness and weakness should be reported immediately.

        Ethinyl Estradiol

        Usage of Qc-Clav Dry Syrup with Ethinyl Estradiol decreases the effectiveness of oral contraceptive pills, which might result in unplanned pregnancies.

        Mononucleosis

        Consult your doctor about your condition before taking this medication so that proper substitute can be prescribed.

        Colitis

        Stop taking this medication if severe diarrhea occurs. Patients having a history of Colitis should be monitored closely.

        Renal Diseases

        Qc-Clav Dry Syrup should be given after making adjustments in the dosage. The kidney function should be periodically monitored especially if the dosage is for a longer period of time. Suitable dose adjustments are to be made if a patient is on hemodialysis.
