Nicostar 5Mg Tablet is a vasodilatory drug. It treats angina chest pain. This medication widens blood vessels thus increasing the blood and oxygen flow to the heart. This medication is used to treat other heart conditions also.

On using Nicostar 5Mg Tablet you may experience side effects such as rapid or irregular heartbeat, swelling, darkening of urine, dizziness, headache, nausea, fatigue, a decrease in blood pressure levels, flushes, skin rash, high potassium levels, muscle pain or stomach pain. Notify your physician if you face any of these effects.

Secondly, it triggers guanylate cyclase to enhance the production of cyclic GMP, thereby activating protein kinase G. Therefore, GTPase RhoA is inhibited and Rho-kinase activity is decreased. As a result, the myosin phosphatase activity is accelerated and the calcium sensitivity of the smooth muscle is reduced. Owing to its nitrate property, nicorandil works as a vasodilator.
