Mifegest 200 MG Tablet

It is a medication that is used to bring about abortion in only those women who have been pregnant for about seven weeks or fifty days. It is taken along with the combination of misoprostol.

This medication interferes with the hormones that help in pregnancy continuation. It is a synthetic steroid. A doctor should be consulted before taking this medicine and should not be self-prescribed under any circumstances.

The dose that is generally given is 200 MG orally once and after say about 2-3 days the dosage is increased to about 800 MG every 24 to 48 hours. However, these are not the dosage patterns that you should assign to yourself and should always consult a doctor.

This medication is prescribed for the purpose of termination of pregnancy which are less than 10 weeks old. It is also used for labour induction in case of a getup death. It is also used for managing elevated sugar levels in patients having Cushing’s syndrome coupled with glucose intolerance type diabetes.
