Estradiol is used for the treatment of atrophic vaginitis, atrophic dystrophy of vulva, menopausal symptoms, female hypogonadism, ovariectomy, primary ovarian failure, inoperable breast cancer, inoperable prostatic cancer, and mild to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause.

Estradiol (active constituent) is a type of estrogen, a sex hormone in women. It is produced by the follicles of the ovaries, adrenal glands and the placenta during the period of pregnancy. It has a number of functions and is the most important hormone in a female’s body.

Estradiol operates as the growth hormone for the reproductive organs such as cervical glands, the endometrium glands, the vagina, and the fallopian tubes. Estradiol also functions in the maintenance of eggs in the ovary. This hormone also ensures the overall health of various other organs and tissues in your body. Although very low in men, this hormone can be found in most vertebrates. Estradiol is produced by the Sertoli cells in the testes in Males.

Estradiol is used in the treatment of menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, burning sensation, irritability and frequent urination urges. It is sometimes also used in the treatment of cancer in both men and women.

You should not use Estradiol if you are allergic to it or in case of any of these situations mentioned below if you have or are:

If not taken under proper supervision Estradiol stands the risk of causing uterine cancer if you already suffer from vaginal bleeding. In case of vaginal bleeding inform your doctor right away. Estradiol if taken when pregnant can cause harm to your fetus by way of birth defects. If taken in moderation and in the right conditions Estradiol can significantly improve the quality of your well-being.
