About Dorzolamide

Dorzolamide is used by doctors to control high pressure that develops in the eyes, as a result of problems like ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. The drug acts as a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, and reduces the production of fluid and development of eye pressure.

Before you start using Dorzolamide provide your doctor with a detailed medical history and inform him about any kidney or liver problems, or any particular eye infection or injuries that you have had. Also let him know if you are pregnant or trying to conceive or even nursing a child. Give him a list of all prescribed and over-the-counter drugs that you are currently on as well.

Certain side effects of Dorzolamide that one may experience are bad mouth taste, light sensitivity, production of more tears, dryness of the eyes, burning or irritation in the eyes and blurry vision.
