About Delorid Tablet

Delorid Tablet is used to relieve hay fever and allergy symptoms, including sneezing; runny nose; and red, itchy, tearing eyes. It is also used to treat hives. Delorid Tablet is in a class of medications called antihistamines.Also used to treat skin hives and itching in people with chronic skin reactions.It works by blocking histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.

Side effects: Dry mouth, sore throat, cough, muscle pain, drowsiness, tired feeling, diarrhea, headache.

Serious side effects may include: Uneven heartbeat, fever, seizure(convulsions), jaundice(yellowing of the skin or eyes), flu symptoms.

Precautions: Before taking this medication inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to desloratadine or any other medications.Also inform about the prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements and herbal products you are taking

This medication should be avoided during pregnancy or you are plan to become pregnant.Also this medication may pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby.Do not use this medication without consulting your doctor if you are breast feeding a baby.If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.

    This medication works by competitively binding at histamine H1 receptors in the large blood vessels, bronchial smooth muscles, gastrointestinal tract, and uterus. This competitively inhibits endogenous histamine, which leads to a reduction of allergic symptoms.
