About Betamil Gm Cream

Betamil Gm Cream is a combination medicament, primarily prescribed to treat skin infections. It usually alleviates the associated symptoms like redness, itching and swelling.

This cream contains an essential glucocorticoid which is a class of medication that acts as a steroid. It is a crucial component in the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections.

This medicine is available as a cream that gets absorbed into the skin and enters the blood. The reduction of inflammation by modification of the immune response of the body to various conditions is the method of working of this corticosteroid.

This medication has minimum mineralocorticoid action as it is a potent glucocorticoid. The medicine inhibits the migration of leukocytes and decreases inflammation by reducing the permeability of capillaries and makes them resistant to prostaglandins and other inflammatory mediators.

Lastly, it works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol which is an important component of fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P450 14-alpha-demethylase enzyme, thus helps in inhibiting the growth of the organism.
