What is the treatment?
Ayurveda is an ancient system of healing the body's immune system and panchakarma treatment, within this field of medicine, is a 5-step process to remove all harmful toxins from the system. The five steps are described as “Vamana” (emesis therapy), “Virechana” (purgation), “Basti” (enema), “Nasya” (nose cleaning) and “Raktamokshana” (blood purification). Each of these treatment methods is aimed at cleansing the system and through this cleansing, the therapy aims to remove all toxins in the body.
In effect, this is a Panchakarma Detoxification treatment. The Panchakarma Therapy involves administering specially formulated medicines, using naturally available ingredients and making the body respond to these medicines to ultimately extract the desired objective in each step of the 5-step treatment. For the record though, the last step, blood purification is resorted only is extreme cases due to the risks involved. The treatment process itself is preceded by a detailed consultation with the experts. Another integral factor for the therapy to be effective is the specific dietary intake to be followed during the treatment.
The overall duration for administering the 5-step therapy in its full form can take up to 15 days. If the person strictly follows the instructions on the diet to be taken even after the treatment, then the person may go for a repeat treatment once every year only. If a person returns back to his/her original lifestyle, then it is recommended that the treatment be repeated every 3 months to remain completely detoxified.
The 5-step or even the 4-step treatment described above can leave the person fully rejuvenated and all the unwanted toxins in the body fully removed. The treatment can cure many common disorders.
