Any individual who is undergoing Visual Impairment would have symptoms of gradual loss of vision, which could happen over years or even months. Normally this disability is usually associated with old age and as a realist the patient is unable to see either at certain angles or particular distances. Some people may also have complete loss of vision with blurriness and night blindness.
HOW IS VISUAL IMPAIRMENT DIAGNOSED?
An ophthalmologist would diagnose this problem by examining your eyes and doing routine vision tests.
HOW IS VISUAL IMPAIRMENT TREATED?
Treatment for Visual Impairment depends on the diagnosis. In some cases, if the problem is due to eye power than glasses or corrective lenses are provided to the patient. If the issue is due to old age, problems like cataract, etc. then surgery might be needed. LASIK is also done in some cases.
DID YOU KNOW?
However, the damage caused by visual impairment is often irreversible if it happens due to old age and tends to get worse leading to complete vision loss.
