Treating Fibroids Without Surgery - Know How!

A fibroid is a benign tumor of the uterus. It can grow in and around the uterus.

Symptoms

  1. Long and excessive bleeding during menstrual periods
  2. Pelvic pain or pressure
  3. Swollen abdomen
  4. Frequent urination

Fibroids can also cause fertility and pregnancy problems, depending on their size and location.

Treatment of Fibroid

Surgical

  1. Myomectomy
  2. Hysterectomy

Non-surgical

  1. Hormone therapy: It helps shrink fibroids. Side effects of medications involve headaches and hot flashes.
  2. Uterine embolization: This procedure stops the blood supply to the fibroid, causing it to shrink and die.
  3. Birth control pills: They help control heavy periods
  4. Intrauterine devices: They release hormones to help reduce heavy bleeding and pain
  5. Reducing the level of estrogen in the body: Naturally occurring estrogen is stored in and manufactured by fat cells. Therefore, maintaining a healthy weight can decrease the amount of estrogen in the body.
  6. Warm fomentation: Warm bath or using a heating pad or hot water bottle on the abdomen and gentle massage helps relieve congestion.
  7. Pain relievers: They relieve the cramps or pain.

Role of Homeopathy in the Treatment of Fibroid

Homeopathy is one of the best alternative systems of medicine dealing with female complaints both acute and chronic. This system of medicine believes in the holistic concept (i.e., treating the individual as a whole). As the development of fibroid is a chronic process which occurs over a period of time, its cure is also gradual. The scope of homeopathy is good in the treatment of fibroid. Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight.If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

I am diabetic. (sugar after meal around 200 without taking any medicine) my age is 43 years. I am also suffering from piles. I am feeling something in my anus. And also swelling in anus. I have pain during passing stools. Now a days I am taking two Arshhar capsules twice on daily. I feel better after taking arshhar but not cure. I want permanent solution. Please advice.

Mr. Lybrate-user, you have diabetes t2 and probably hemrrhoids (piles). If piles are trouble some, then surgical treatment is the only option. More importantly your diabetes needs to be treated with appropriate medication either oral anti diabetes drugs or insulin injection. With a pp level of 200 mg it not good to leave it untreated. This my sicere advise to you.

There is no medicine or short cut method to loose weight first of all you should change your eating habits like 1. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). 2. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. 3. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 4. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 5. Maintain active life style 6. Avoid fast foods n fried foods 7.Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 8. Drink lot of water 9. Everyday preferably sleep on same time Eating every 2 hours increases basal metabolic rate also. If you follow this over a period of time you will see that your intake of food has decreased Exercise in the form of yoga, cycling, Swimming, gymming, walking etc. For more details you can consult me.

I will suggest you to do suryanamaskar daily as per your capacity for a minimum of six months and Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong, chana,Dal, rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit.

Both are protein rich foods and for weight gain you don't need only proteins but carbohydrate rich foods too. So have either milk or an egg with a cereal like roti poha rawa pav etc.
