Dear Lybrateuser, - Do steam inhalation twice a day - have more of warm fluids like water, tea, coffee, milk (mix 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder in a cup of warm milk & have 2-3 times a day), have warm soup - take tablet Sinarest, 1 tablet twice a day - take Syrup Chericof, 2 teaspoonful three times a day - avoid cold fluids, spicy & fried foods, aerated drinks - have a well balanced diet with more if green leafy vegetables & fruits - do regular exercise like jogging, brisk walking, yoga & deep breathing for 10-15 min daily in the morning to boost your immunity & proper blood circulation - if not much relief then do an x-ray chest & consult a doctor.

PCOD/PCOS is a common hormonal disorder in women which can lead to weight gain and irregular periods. While most women depend on pills to deal with it, these simple changes in your lifestyle will help you deal with the condition in a better way. 1. Nutritional approach: Deficiency of micronutrients contributes to insulin insensitivity and compromise ovarian function. So, •Completely stay away from processed/ refined cereals (which have a high glycemic index or GI). Switch to wheat, rice, jowar, ragi, barley (which have low GI) and enjoy your roti, parantha, pulao, biryani, dosa, poha, upma etc. •Eat an adequate amount of lean proteins like dal, milk, eggs, fish, yogurt, cheese, paneer, lassi, sprouted legumes. •Include good sources of omega-3 and omega-6 present in nuts, seeds, ghee, olives, coconut etc. Our body needs essential fatty acids for absorption of fat soluble vitamins like A, D, and E. •Alpha-lipoic acid improves glucose uptake in cells, promotes weight loss and improves the health of ovaries. Usually after pills all the products do come off. Post pills your bleedi g should stop within 15 days. It doesn't have problems in future pregnancy.

Your problem of overweight could be because of thyroid problem. Monitor your Thyroid function regularly and take medicine after consulting physician 1. Eat well – Take a balanced Diet comprising of 45% carbohydrate, 30% protein and 25% fat, plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Don’t over eat. Avoid junk, spicy, oily, high calorie, cholesterol rich diet don’t skip your breakfast. Take warm, homemade food. Avoid food and drink from outside. Don’t skip or postpone your meal. Minimize consumption of refined grains like white rice, white bread, sugary or refined food. 2. Keep hydrated- Drink 2 liters /8-10 glasses of water daily 3. Do regular exercise for one hour daily like brisk walking/Jugging etc 4. Take adequate rest- 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night is required to remain healthy 5. Avoid stress, anxiety, depression, agitation etc 6. Find time for relaxation and enjoyments with friends and family 7. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control emotion, improve concentration and relieve stress.

Take care of your eating habits. If you feel burning in stomach, then you better is to take fruits and reduce regular meals. Sometimes, simply eating less takes care of stomach trouble. Please make it a point that too bitter, too sour, salty, hot, pungent, dry and burning foods are to be avoided as such foods cause distress, misery and disease. Thus deep frying foods or foods taking lot of oil as in gravy vegetables, salty foods, spicy foods, long preserved, frozen foods, junk foods like pizzas burgers chips are to be avoided. Drink two glasses of warm water on empty stomach every morning about 30 minutes before breakfast. Try it! this works amazingly! in addition, walk fast for 30 minutes every day or engage in some service every day. Please also do meditation regularly and sincerely which has been scientifically proved for overall health. Do transcendental meditation by reading iskcon books from the internet vedabase or get the books hard copy from your nearest iskcon center.
