Dear lybrate-user! dark circles can be improved by some life style changes like sound sleep and avoiding excessive exposure to led lcd. Some under eye creams and platelet rich plasma therapy is highly beneficial.

Hi. I am 31 years old guy. I have got two questions to ask. First one is that I have a doubt that I am having piles as after passing stools when I try to wash my anus with water I can feel a small swelling comes out and few minutes after washing my anus it disappears. I don't have any bleeding though. I have a difficulty while stooling as my initial stools are really hard and I have to give a lot of stress during stooling initially. I want to know whether I am having piles or fistula and how to reduce swelling? My second question is that my stools have never been this hard like what I am experiencing these days. What medicine should I take to make my initial stools soft as I have to give a lot of stress during stooling initially. Please help me.

Dear, 1you are suffering from first degree piles-haemorrhoids. It is not fistula. 2. Hard toilet means constipation which is a lifestyle problem and not a disease. To treat, 1. Increase fluid intake, 2. Takr emolient laxative like duphlec sy or cremaffin plus 1 tsf at night, 3, take naturrolax grannules or isabagol powder 3-4 tsf in at least 300 ml. Of water, 4. Apply zincal ointment twice a day inside anus, 5. Take high fiberand high redue diet, 6. Avoid taking pain killers so far as possible, 7. Increase physical activity like4 walking, playing physical games or exercises regularly, 8. Keep regular hours of sleep and food.

Skin Care in Winters

MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy, MBBS
Dermatologist, Delhi
Skin Care in Winters

It is very important to take care of the skin in every season, but the problem of the skin arises most of the time in cold weather. Because cold winds that run during this time steal the moisture of our skin and make them tender, due to low humidity. In winter season it is very important for us to take care of our skin. If you do not take care of your skin immediately then the skin loses its softness or moisture by becoming rigid, lifeless, and lethargic. The effect of the same would be the start of pre-maturing aging on the skin. The effect of cold winds is seen as a stiffness on the skin, but more than that, it also affects the first layer of skin i.e. epidermis.

When epidermis gets compressed then our cells break down and appear in fine streaks and appear on the skin. We call them the fine line, which will further turn into wrinkles. Because of this, the impact of weather and age is first seen on your face. If we pay close attention to skin care, then this problem can be dealt with.

To reduce these effects and make your skin young and smooth you need more skin care. In this article, winter skin care tips are given that you must follow-

1. Wash your face and bath with lukewarm water

Do not take hot shower in the winter even with oily skin, take bath with lukewarm water. Keep in mind that whenever you wash the face, do with lukewarm because the moisture of the face decreases with hot water. Therefore, to maintain moisture, use lukewarm water only.

2. Select moisturizer carefully

Some moisturizers contain petroleum-based ingredients that can actually dry your skin in the winter. Therefore, you select the moisturizer that is oil based. By which moisture will kept remain in your skin.

3. Protect your skin

It is very important that you cover your body in the cold weather. Do not forget to use gloves and scarves to avoid cold winds in winter. Make sure to use sunscreen lotion before leaving the house which keeps you protected from the harmful UV rays.

4. Use moisturizer

It is very necessary in the winter that you moisturize the skin daily so that your skin becomes soft and smooth. Pay more attention to the open areas of the skin. Take special care of hands, feet, elbows and knees as it loses moisture faster than other parts of the body. So use a little moisturizer daily, so that the moisture will remained.

5. Exfoliation is necessary

Do not forget to exfoliate your skin in winter. Exfoliation helps you remove the dead cells of the skin correctly. Keep in mind that the substance used for the exfoliation is good for the skin.

6. Keep the body hydrated

We often drink less water in winter, and the tea or coffee intake more to warm ourselves, but we must know that our body needs adequate water to be hydrated. So take plenty of water. To keep the body hydrated from the inside in winter, consume water content at maximum amount.

7. Change the cleanser

The cleanser can make your skin much dry if you use cleanser containing glycolic or salicylic content. So use a cleanser that contains moisturizer content. After using cleanser, tone your skin with hydrated toner, then moisturize it with a good moisturizer.

8. Do not forget the lips, hands and feet

Often when it comes to skin care, we all care only about the face while we should also care for lips, hands and feet. Use lip balm to maintain the softness of the lips. Use lip scrub to remove the dead cells of the lips.

Exfoliate your hands. Use lotions regularly on hands in winter season. Especially after exposure to water. Not only the skin of the hands will get moisture, but the skin will also become shiny.

In the winter season where your daily work becomes difficult, your skin also gets damaged. There are some common problems in winter: hands, feet stomach, skin dryness and lips bursts. To get rid of these problems, you should take care of some common things.

Thorough cleansing with a salicylic acid containing face wash twice a day may be very beneficial for you. You can go for tretinoin or benzoyl peroxide gels at night. Chemical peels containing alpha or beta hydroxy acids are also very effective. Good luck.

My brother in law want to do plastic surgery because his skin is dark so what we can do?
Plastic surgery is not the treatment for dark skin.dark skin is due to increase in melanin pigment in ur skin.this is induced by sunlight,uv Ray's,radiation, drugs, hormones, cosmetics.so,it's necessary to stop any such factor.for this,Use a broad spectrum sunscreen both indoors as well as before going out. It shud b both uva and uvb protective. Always use your umbrella whether its raining or not.Protect your eyes with a sunshade. Avoid scrubbing your face. Do not steam or sauna. If you swim, use a sunscreen prior to it and after.Avoid face cosmetics for the time being. You can press powder onto your sunscreen if at all you want to use a cosmetic. Drink two litres of water everyday. Pick up carrots, papaya, pumpkin, black grapes to have everyday. These contain important antioxidants and phytonutrients which vil brighten your skin.

It is ideal if you see a General Surgeon or a Gynecologist if you so desire for direct examination, confirmation of diagnosis and medication for immediate relief with proper antibiotics, pain killer tablets and antibiotic, anesthatic cream for local application. If stools are hard or constipated plenty of oral liquid, high fibre food, fruits and stool softener medication is also necessary.
