After your kidney transplant, you should make exercise a regular part of your life to continue to improve your health and fitness. Your treatment team may work with you to set up a routine exercise program to meet your needs. Immediately after your transplant, you should walk as much as you can tolerate. Refrain from lifting more than 5 to 7 pounds in the first four to six weeks after your transplant. After your transplant, your doctor will recommend that you participate in 30 minutes of moderate exercise (brisk walking) a day, five days a week. Walking, bicycling, low-impact strength training or other activities may help you improve your health. Exercising regularly helps you control your weight, strengthen your bones and muscles, improve your physical functioning and increase your energy. However, if you feel dizzy or short of breath, or if you experience other symptoms while working out, you should stop exercising. Discuss your symptoms with your doctor and treatment team before you begin exercising again.

From past few month I have been diagnosed with thyroid, having tsh reading of 9.8. I had been given thyronorm 25 and am taking it regularly, but I still feel lazy, I sleep a lot as in am not able to get up early in the morning, not interested in any activities, constipation is also there, and am gaining weight. Can you please suggest what I need to do to completely get rid out of this and I need to shed down my weight. Please suggest me.

IN HYPOTHYROIDISM:--- Deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Treatment for hypothyroidism is giving ' THYROXINE ' tablets. And dose are according to level of thyroid for life time. Avoid iron medicines. Avoid bad habits . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work.go walk daily.avoid oily foods,junk foods. Do Tests T3,T4,TSH EVERY 3 TO 6 MONTHS. Take plenty of water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Take the following treatment - 1. Take 4 tablespoon of aloevera juice with one tablespoon of honey after dinner. 2. Take 4 tablespoon amla juice + 2 tablespoon honey on an empty stomach in the morning. 3. Take chandraprabhavati 2 tablets twice a day. 4. Avoid junk, bakery & spicy food. 5. Maida is very harmful for body, so avoid it. 6. Have all your meals on time. 7. Drink lots of water 8. Fruits rich in vitamin c and green leafy vegetables help in acne.

I am suffering from copd I was admitted to hospital, treated with efcorlin, antibiotics. I was also put on o2 support as o2 was 68 only as against 100 what future precautions should I take?

Hello, Please ask her to apply Avarta under eye cream twice a day on dark circles for 3 months. Have fruits, proper sleep and adequate amount of water daily. Avoid stress and sun exposure. Start an iron vitamin like Autrin once a day for 2-3 months if Hemoglobin is low.

Lot of questions running in my mind while going to bed so I couldn't have sound sleep. Mostly, negative thoughts are coming in my mind in series and trying to resolve the problems and ultimately I couldn't slept. Pl suggest what to do to have sound sleep at least for 6-8 hrs.

I don’t know if you are fully aware: you have mentioned that you are suffering from a lot of questions running through your mind, which can cause a lot of anxiety or the other way around; the anxiety can cause a lot of questions, which in itself can disturb your sleep. Instead of worrying too much about causes, why don’t you implement some of my suggestions, because they work effectively. The lack of sleep, i. E. Sleep for less than 6 hours per night, is directly linked to about 86 diseases! So let us first focus on that. In your case particularly, do not sleep during the day; don’t even lie down. Go for regular exercise (breathing through your nostrils only) at a fixed time (at about 6 am) every day, whether you sleep or not. You must develop this habit of sleeping by 10 pm latest every night and wake up at a uniform time by 6 am every morning, even if you do not get sleep. If you do not get sleep, just lie down and if you have a bed lamp (or you could get one) lie down and read something light but not exciting. Your eyes will tire and you will fall asleep. If you like you may also put on light and soft music with the sleep function on. Depending on whether you are a visual or auditory person, you may watch TV in a lying down position until you feel sleepy. Have a warm bath before going to bed (for some people a cold bath at night seems to induce sleep! If you are one of them, please do so). Place the head side of your bed in a North-South position. The room must be as dark as possible and there should be no electronic items that give off even a light LED glow. There must be ample ventilation in the room. Avoid strong odors, except lavender, on your body or in the room, or on your sheets and clothes. There should not be any live plants in your bedroom. Sleep with the lightest of clothes or without any clothing. When lying down to sleep, lie down on your left ear as much as possible. Do not sleep directly under an overhead fan. You must eat a good breakfast, a fairly light lunch, and an early dinner, which should be a very light meal. Whatever you eat in the other meals, have only a pure carbohydrate meal at night with any vegetables, and preferably before 8 pm. Do not drink much liquids after or near about dinner time. When lying down to sleep you may use the 4-7-8 breathing pattern of sleep inducement i. E. Breathe in for four counts through your nostril only, hold for 7 counts, and exhale with a whoosh sound, through your mouth only, for 8 counts. Repeat this four times in the morning and just before you sleep at night. If you know Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT, then please practice this too for sleep induction. Self-hypnosis and slow relaxation techniques, at night will be tremendously useful. Acupuncture or acupressure will both be very useful too. Pray last thing at night before you sleep.

It is a common trend among youngsters to smoke weed as they tend to think it makes them look cool. It is a common misconception that smoking pot relieves various social and personal problems. It is used as a form of escape mechanism that allows them to avoid problems in life.

The usual reasons why people turn to smoking pot are:

  1. Peer pressure: You may have friends who smoke weed on a regular basis, so you may be tempted to join in.
  2. Boredom: It is a usual resort to escape from boredom or craving excitement. It is said that smoking weed helps in filling the internal void that results from lack of excitement.
  3. Rebellion: Weed has also been connected and continues to be a symbol of rebellion among today's teenagers and youngsters.

Risks:

  1. Smoking weed has been shown to shrink the size of the orbitofrontal cortex, a region of the brain that is important in making decisions and processing emotions.
  2. It can alter your mood, hamper body movement and impairs your ability to concentrate and execute tasks.
  3. It increases your risk of getting affected by phlegm and cough.
  4. The long term effects of marijuana comprises of impaired learning and thinking skills.
  5. It also affects the process where new connections are formed in the brain.
  6. Regular weed smokers have also been shown to have lower IQ levels comparatively.
  7. Apart from the mental effects, it may also cause breathing discomforts as the smoke may irritate the lungs.
  8. It also increases the chances of heart attack in the elderly.
  9. Weed has also been reported to impact the fetus if a pregnant woman smokes it.
  10. It raises the risk of behavioral problems in children.
  11. The complications that a child may face are impaired problem solving skills, attention and memory related disorders.

Thus, it is important to stay away from smoking weed as it is addictive and increases your chances of getting affected by numerous health complications.

Take regular breaks in between every hour. Sit straight or sit tall. Keep a pillow below when you sit. Ayurved panchkarma can offer relief to you. Also you may try bhujangasan, marjarasan.

Hi for hypothyroid it has many symptom and acc to syopmtom treatment dosage is decided for now I suggest you some medicine first of all you should follow some basic thing 1.avoid=hot and cold at time 2.less the sugar as much as possible if you want to eat sweet take juggery which is black 3.do not drink water after meal drink at the time of meal sip by sip up to 150 ml 4.avoid late nght sleep 5 punarnava mandur 1 tab before lunchand dinner 2.kumari asav 4 tsp before lunch and dinner.

Good Afternoon ~ The need for closeness is quite common and the kind of thoughts and actions that you are describing does not seem to be healthy either for you or for the person who you cling on to. It seems like you are also going for such attachments just so your emptiness is filled even if it is for a very small amount of time. Gargling with warm salt water is an effective way to treat a sore throat. Salt can even help kill the bacteria or virus causing pharyngitis. 1. Mix three teaspoons of salt (preferably sea salt) in two cups of warm water. 2. Gargle with this solution. Do not swallow it. Spit the water out after gargling. 3. Do this several times daily for one to two days. Get back to me privately for its treatment and cure.

Hello. You can consult a dietician or a nutritionist for your proper diet intake. Also, can start with Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ 1 tab. thrice a day (half an hr. before every meal) for 1 month. Revert.
