Natural foods and not supplements prevent heart disease

Natural foods and not supplements prevent heart disease
==============================================
One should take seasonal and locally grown natural food and vegetables grown out of organic farms. Eat less, dinner lighter then lunch, eat natural and in moderation – are few of the mantras.

Eating food supplements may be harmful. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), supplementation with beta carotene, vitamin C and vitamin E, either alone or in combination with each other or other antioxidant vitamins does not prevent heart disease.

High dose vitamin E supplementation (400 IU/day) may be associated with an increase in all–cause mortality.

Supplementation with vitamin C does not prevent a second heart attack.

Beta carotene supplementation may be dangerous and should be discouraged.

Vitamin E supplementation may be of benefit for only secondary prevention in heart patients with chronic renal failure who are undergoing hemodialysis.

The AHA concluded that current data do not justify the use of antioxidant supplements for the prevention or treatment of cardiovascular disease risk.

The above recommendations apply to supplementation only. Diets that are rich in natural antioxidants are associated with lower cardiovascular mortality.( Heart Diseases ). Any doubts you can ask me

Dear Lybrate User, You are suffering from Tachycardia. Tachycardia means nothing more than fast heart rate (tachy means fast, and cardia has to do with the heart). When the heart beats more than 100 times per minute, that’s called tachycardia.  There are several types of tachycardia. There’s the kind that happens to all of us when we’re exercising or experiencing stress, anxiety, fear or excitement. Under these conditions, it’s normal for the heart rate to speed up. This is called “sinus tachycardia.”  There are also abnormal types, where the heart seems to speed up for no reason.  If you feel any Symptoms, please visit local doctor for detail check up. Take Care.

Your father is suffering from heart failure. Heart failure is a condition in which the heart can't pump enough blood to meet the body's needs. Heart failure does not mean that your heart has stopped or is about to stop working. It means that your heart is not able to pump blood the way it should. It can affect one or both sides of the heart. The weakening of the heart's pumping ability causes Blood and fluid to back up into the lungsThe buildup of fluid in the feet, ankles and legs - called edemaTiredness and shortness of breath Common causes of heart failure are coronary artery disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. Sometimes it may be caused by viral infections of the heart. The medication he's taking our intended to reduce the pressure on the weekend hard by reducing the blood volume & his heart rate. So keep taking the medications and to get regular cardiac check up every year to keep a track on his condition.

More important than total cholesterol level is the relative level of good cholesterol, HDL, and bad cholesterol ,non HDL. Avoid food rich in fat /fried stuff and walk regularly .yes it's possible to bring down cholesterol once raised.
