My kidney is moderate dilatation of right PCs system and 10 mm stone in ureter koi problems to nahi hai naa.
Dear lybrate-user You have obstruction on one side by a large stone which can potentially harm that kidney. Also such a large stone is very unlikely to pass out on its own. An appropriate treatment option would be surgical stone removal. Please consult a urologist at the earliest to get proper advice and treatment.

Dear lybrate-user Since you have lupus nephritis your CKD is likely to progress over time. You need regular follow up with your nephrologist to monitor progression and modification of medications with time. Apart from creatinine, potassium you have to target Hb, calcium, phosphorus, uric acid, Urine protein and RBCs, and bicarbonate. Dietary precautions are also very important. I hope your concerns have been answered. Regards.

Dear lybrate-user, For a 10 mm stone in ureter the more appropriate approach would be to remove the stone by surgery. Please consult an urologist at the earliest for proper treatment. Obstructive stone in the ureter can lead to permanent damage to that particular kidney. I hope you get the right kind of treatment and advise.

Hi, I have done kidney Transplant 3 weeks ago. So for how many years I will take Immuno suppressant? And I have heard that if we Get a new kidney Then one of the old one Which was Not working properly in the past Also starts To work After Sometime? So is that True?

Dear lybrate-user After kidney transplantation immunosuppressant drugs will help prevent rejection and will have to be taken for as many years as the kidney functions or could be 10 years or more on several cases. Without these drugs your transplanted kidney will suffer rejection and failure. Also your old kidneys were not working and hence you underwent a transplant. They will not function again. Had there been a possibility of that then the transplant would not have been required in the first place. I am sure your transplant nephrologist would have explained these things to you on details. Please trust your Doctor and follow his/her advice.

Dear lybrate-user, Kidney transplant is a well established treatment for ESRD which is carried out at several hospitals in India. I would suggest you contact one of the hospitals in your city or near by city for understanding the costs involved.

Dear Ms. lybrate-user, Dialysis is a well established therapy for ESRD. One should get better on regular dialysis. If his condition is deteriorating there should be some other reason like heart disease or liver disease etc. His nephrologist should be definitely looking into it. Also you should explore the option of kidney transplant with a suitable family donor.

Hello sir
losing protein in urine as 321 mg per 24 hrs and getting back pain ,weakness, please suggest the medicine.
If you are losing 321 mg protein per day, you need to get evaluated by a nephrologist. Evaluation will lead to the cause of protein leak. Back pain and weakness may or may not be related.

You should look for a condition Renal Artery Stenosis, by doing Doppler study. No direct relation to ectopic kidney and BP if the function is normal and there is no reflux. BP medicine will continue for long, possibly life.
