My sister is pregnant 6 weeks now using ivf. Doctors doubt if child brain is undeveloped. Leading to forced abortion. Please tell me which doctor to consult. My sister lives in delhi.

My sister is pregnant 6 weeks now using ivf.
Doctors doubt if child brain is undeveloped. Leading to forced abortion....
No doctor would suggest an abortion if the baby is healthy. So please do not get tense about it as the treating Dr. must have had all the investigation done to confirm about baby's status and then would have advised abortion. If still in doubt ,she can always tell her Dr. that she wants to go in for second opinion before going in for abortion.

The only way to be sure about pregnancy is by doing a pregnancy test after the periods are overdue by 5 days. Another reason for delay could be mental tension and anxiety related to this issue. If you like, please contact me to understand the basic physiology of menstruation and avoid a lot of mental tension.

Dear Lybrate User, Any couple desirous of pregnancy and not getting same naturally must meet Gynecologist or infertility specialist accepting facts that it needs many reports and different trials of treatment. Means couple must have patience and go to one in whom they have trust to stick for long time. In PCOD ovulation- release of ovum is deranged because of hormonal changes. So long time different trials are required to treat same so with patience continue consulting Gynecologist or infertility specialist in whom you have trust.

Fibroids can increase in pregnancy but later on reduces in size. As you are pregnant, we cannot remove it right now. Often firboids do not cause any problems in pregnancy. If at the time of delivery, it is found to be a big problem, we can remove it, usually that time you may need blood transfusion.
