if its following an injury then it could be due to torn meniscus. try ice packs and if pain doesn't subside and if knee remains locked then consult an ortho .

Doctor. My dad is 55 years old. He has severv pain in his right buttock. He had this pain since months. But evrytim he took medication it was fine. We had gone for native and he alone drive the car. And now he is facing lots of pain. We went to doctor still it didn't decrease. Kindly help doctor. He is in took much pain. He limps lot. Pain was 1st in buttock bone now its come to buttock. Hi apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 1 wk, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I understand your pain. Nowadays back pain is a very common complaint in young adults. So donot worry. It can be due to various reasons. Many of the problem occurs for which we are not aware. If possible please visit our physio department and take some pain relieving modalities. Once pain will reduce you can start exercises which will make you fit and away from all pain. As an advice: apply ice or heat which ever suits you directly to the area of low back pain will decrease swelling and inflammation, and ease your discomfort. Apply it for 10 to 15 minutes only thrice a day. Below is some precautions you can take: precautions: 1. Avoid forward bending, if required then bend your knees first and then bend forward. 2. Avoid weight lifting. 3. Sit in chairs or car seats with proper back support. 4. Try to sleep in a position that helps you maintain the curve in your back like sidelying. 5. Get enough vit d from sun as vit d keep bones strong including spine, 6. Drink plenty of water to enhance the inter vertebral disks 7. Avoid standing in the one position for a long time. 8. Try to sleep in a position that helps you maintain the curve in your back. 9. Regular habit of meditations is necessary to fit healthy. Hope this answer your question. Get well soon.

Follow certain knee exercises to ease pain. 1. Keep a towel roll under your knee pressing it down and hold it for 10 secs. 2. Lie down facing head up and lift your leg without bending your knee and hold it for 10 secs. 3. Keep a towel roll in between your both knees and press it and hold for 10 secs. 4. Repeat the exercises 3-4 times in a day. Increase the duration of exercise each time. 5. Follow these steps and leave a feedback. Take care.

Follow advises given below 1.Avoid using computers continuously, take rest for 5 min after working for half an hour 2. In pain free interval do neck exercise (kindly learn exercise by registered Trainer) 3. you can use thin pillow while sleeping so that normal posture of neck can be maintained 4.Maintain proper posture of body while watching TV/ studying Get cervical X ray AP and lateral done and review with reports Consult Orthopedician for Further Management

It may be due to effect of aging. Do not over bend your knee joint. Avoid to use stairs. Do mild exercises of knee joint. Take milk daily and homeopathic calcarea phos 6x, four tablet 4 times daily as a calcium supplement.

Rest- avoid load, Icing within 3 days after that warm foamentation, compression by crepe bandage to prevent swelling and elevavation.

Excercise is an important part of life. After all injury the muscles needs to work harder to compensate for the instability. The muscle needs excercise to regain its strength. The muscles if weak will lead to having chronic pain of the knee. Studies have shown that it takes almost a year for the muscles to regain the full strength of the muscles.

Quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Back pain may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. *Avoid bending forward while working on lap top or for any other work. *Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and move around. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. *Don’t carry laptop or any load on your shoulder. Carrying very light loads equally with both hands is better *Sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *Soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *Get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Your leg pain and headache----Homoeopathy has a good treatment for your all pains without adverse effects. Take Bryonia 200--once daily in the morning.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.
