I am losing hair quickly and have tried all shampoo but no effect. Please help me.

MD - Alternate Medicine, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Hair fall may be attributed to different reasons like using artificial colors, hair styling, chemicals etc. It may be due to some internal weakness also. Please go for herbal neem shampoo. Use shikakai and amla as conditioner (soak amla and shikakai in water overnight and boil a little in morning). Apply it on hairs. Keep for half an hour and then wash. It will condition the hairs. Too much shampooing can lead to more hair fall. Start using amla bhringraj oil on your dry scalp. This will increase the density & stop hair fall. Eat amla (indian gooseberry) in daily routine in any form whether it is candies, juice or raw. This habit will help in hair re-growth. Amla is a good source of many vitamins & it also increases absorption of iron from gut. For females above 40 years of age iron, calcium is must for stopping hair fall. Avoid using comb in wet hairs.

I have two problem 1. I am taking pimple medicines from last 2.5 months. Around 20 days back I had painful pimples on my below portion of upside femur and on my back side near backbone. Was this allergy due to medicine or due to harsh weather condition? 2. I am worried about my height. My body figure has become abnormal. My butts have grown much. When I get up in morning I feel pain in backbone and find difficulty in bending my body. My stomach has grown outward. My body's lower part is heavier than upper part. My thighs are broad. I sleep 8 to 10 hours a day. What are the reasons behind this? Is this due to wrong way of walking, sleeping, sitting or some other reason? Will this effect my height growth?

1. Most important thing is take lots of rest as a routine part of your life. Sleep for atleast 8 hours 2. Limit your screen life. Take breaks while working on computer and wash eyes frequently with cold water. 3. Wash your face twice with a good cleanser like tea tree face wash and use soothing toner like rose water or tea tree after that. 4. Use Kojic Acid based cream below eyes for atleast 4 months.

It seems to be eczema which is recurrent in nature. You should take proper advise of dermatologist for the same, as it requires long duration management. Meanwhile do not scratch & do not try to remove the dead skin as it can become infectioius. Apply moisturizer over that every 3 hourly.

Take homeopathic medicine acid phos 1m/single dose (5 drops in little water) and revert after 2 weeks. The head should be massaged slowly with oil or shampoo while bathing or cleaning hairs resulting blood circulation becomes fast and the skin of the head is protected from dryness. Shampoo should be used only two times a week. Hairs should be washed with curd for removing dandruff. Spicy or fried foodstuffs should not be eaten. At the area of both legs between of penis area side have black big spot looks like eczema what is the best medical treatment for it to get rid from this disease?

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy

You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs and genital area. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter Steroid containing creams lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Do not use steroid containing combination creams. Please consult me in private chat with photos for detailed prescription. Do not delay treatment as it may spread further on your body and also to other people living in the household.

I am a student and since few months or you can say a year. I am having too much hairfall. Can you please why is this happening and what can I do now to stop this.

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, M.Ch - Plastic Surgery

Dear, shampoos and oils do not make much change because, they hardly penetrate layers of skin, where roots (live part of hair) are present. Instead concentrate on food, if all other factors are fine. -protein rich diet, dry fruits-almonds, dates.
