Hi I have chest pain in left side (lower part) of chest I have breathing problem also which make mee feel discomfort neck part I can not travel now a days make me feel dizziness al the time im always stress out feel really low I stay in hostel please tell me what to do ECG is normal so whats the problem I feel pain and breathing problem. 1.For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress, Physical and mental strain,hyper acidity, muscular problem 2. Avoid stress and strain 3.Do regular exercise, reduce your weight if over weight. 4.Control your diet. Avoid oily/spicy/fried and junk food,high calorie and cholesterol rich diet.Take small frequent meals(5-6 meals/day instead of three heavy meals).If you have hyper acidity take one tablet of pan 40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days 5.Do Yoga, Meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress. 6.Have sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily. 7.Avoid smoking,alcohol, excess tea/coffee, if you are having 8. Drink plenty of water and take rest 9. Take paracetamol 500mg one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets per day at the time of chest pain 10.if you have recurrent attack of chest pain check your BP, take ECG and consult cardiologist 11.Consult me for further advice.

HYPOTHYROIDISM:--- where there is deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Treatment for hypothyroidism is giving thyroxine tablets. And dose are according to level of thyroid for life time. Avoid bad habits . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Go for walk, Take plenty of water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid oily foods,junk foods, go for walk. Do Tests every 3 to 6 months. And consut doctor on time.

When am I over active i.e. Working standing for 1-2 hours I get moving / imbalance feeling. On days I am not active (this doesn't happen is it related to low bp. Got it checked by doc. But came normal. Home test shows around 110-99/66. Can it be possible that it is due to inner ear. What symptoms should I notice to understand the reason for this problem.

Diet for a patient of heart problem - should include vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Avoid high-fat foods eg red meat, cheese and high-sodium foods (such as canned or processed foods). Take oats, salads, and low salt in your diet. Avoid fatty foods. Food rich in fibre is good for them. Apart from diet moderate exercise is also essential. Hope this helps you.

Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain foods, Use GARLIC in foods daily ,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines . one important that is take 1 glass of water before bed at night. Because it protect from heart fail during sleep at night.

Hello, immediately, your father should take 1. Protein, 2. Fiber 3. Omegar-3 4. Calcium 5. Cholesterol balancing 6. Garlic supplements. To control or maintan BP normal there are some instructions are given below: •Do not take salt in high amount or try to avoid it because high sodium level increase BP. • Eat less amount of pickle and fast food, fast food contain high sodium. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of coffee and tea both increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Do exercise daily, running and long walk. Start exercise such as jogging, running with 5 to 10 minutes, increase the time of exercise slowly. • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Avoid taking too much fat foods such as butter, cheese, ghee. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. Eat an apple daily.

Dear lybrate-user, cholesterol medicine is given to patients who have moderate to high risk of developing heart problem. Risk is calculated from age, sex, history of diabetes, high bp, smoking, family history etc. Otherwise unless cholesterol value is very high no cholesterol medicine is required. Only diet and exercise will be enough. As regards diet she can take almost all home cooked foods. Avoid oily and high carb foods.

For past couple of days I have been feeling discomfort in the middle of my chest. Specially, when the ac is on I feel that problem. It is not feel the same way every time, but every time I feel something has stuck in the middle of my chest. It can be endured but disturbing. It doesn't bother when I eat food. It doesn't even go away with burping. I can feel it when I try to stretch my arms or try to carry heavy things or standing up after sitting in a position for long times or riding in a ac cab. 2 days back I had whiskey (I don't drink on a regular basis, very rare, occasionally), next day morning I felt chest pain in the middle of the chest. I still have this discomfort. I USED to smoke a lot earlier. But now it's been 2 months that I'm not smoking, I quit smoking. Does it any heart related problem or anything else? How would I diagnose my problem? Any suggestion?

Dear lybrateuser, -You could be having muscular or bony problem -avoid straining, lifting weights, strenuous exercise till pain reduces -apply over the counter pain killer gel three times a day -do hot water fomentation three times a day -avoid taking alcohol & stop smoking permanently it will benefit you & the harmful body changes will reverse over sometime -get blood sugar, cholesterol, ecg, x-ray chest, tmt done to rule out any heart or lung problem & consult a doctor if pain doesn't reduce.
