Homocysteine result is 32. 9micromole/litre. I have been suffering from gastro-intestinal problem. Medicine does not suit me now. Without medicine how can I bring the level down? please help me doctors.

Dear Lybrate User, 32.9 value is not the major concern as per your age & weight also, for maintaining good homocysteine level, cholesterol level & also for your gastro -intestinal problem without medicine you need to do regular cardio exercise - 30 mins, yoga+ pranayama + stretching exercise = 30 mins, in diet you should avoid fatty food, milk & milk products, oily-spicy stuffs which may increase your gastric problem. yes, stress is a known cause for increase blood pressure. try to de-stress yourself by yoga, breathing exercise etc. avoid excessive salt, packaged food, caffeinated/ alcoholic drinks. monitor your blood pressure regularly.

Dr, I am a diabetic female my blood pressure was normal .Yesterday i consulted with an internist After climbing 18 steps he checked my BP.It was 160l100.He told me to start Vascodipine 5mg daily,after 1 hr i checked my BP again it was 123l79.today morning it was 133l80.should i start this medication or not .I am araid.Please suggest

I am 29 yrs male having high blood pressure and I have obesity too. What should I do for both?

Since how long you are having high b. P. And what is your weight. Weight reduction may decrease you b. P. Medication. Diet, exercise along with herbal preparations will be effective in reducing weight, need to attend the gym if possible, simple morning and evening walk may be effective. Strict observance of diet is important along with your mental determination and attitude.

Ayurveda believes in digestion not into giving heavy food for weight gain. According to ayurveda, food which are easy to digest but nutrient can gain weight. But I need detait history for perfact solution. Like your appetite? bowel habits sleeping habits kind of your work or job life style diet etc. But till you can do following: take daal rice more. Use cow ghee n milk. Avoid over eating start massage with til oil in morning, after that, do exercise whatever you want then bath focus in yourself avoid stress anger fear take ajvayan 1 tsp after meal. Start chyavanprash in morning. These are also helps in height increase. After 20, process of increasing height becomes slow. However healthy diets will help you. Do exercise & yoga. Esp. Tadashana, suryanamaskar, chakrasahana.

Hi i have Left chest pain, sometime extends to left hand, neck and left eye. Since few month continuous pain. Glucose & T cholesterol normal, LDL 129 mg/dL and ECG also normal. I think it is cardiovascular problem.

Hi as told earlier its not a chest pain of cardiac origin most commonly its because of gadtritis or heart burn take tablets as adviced and you will be fine.

I have a severe chest pain at lungs when I eat some oily food or spicy food. So what should I do to prevent it?

Good quality of sleep decreases heart rate and blood pressure thus decreasing work of heart lack of sleep keeps the heart rate and blood pressure elevated.both are linked to increased incidence of heart disease. Lack of sleep increases insulin resistance and the risk of type 2 diabetes Mellitus and also increases C-reactive protein a protein associated with inflammation.

Both diabetes and C-reactive protein are associated with higher incidence of coronary artery disease.

My wife is 4 months pregnant. Doctors checked for fetus heart beat. It showed 190 bom. Is it high or normal. Is there any problem if the heartbeat is 190 bom.

It is normal, remember that the fetus is rapidly developing at earlier stages, compared to 7 months and beyond when heart beat is around 120-140. But a fast growing fetus will have a faster beating heart, not to worry.

I will suggest you to do suryanamaskar daily as per your capacity for a minimum of six months and few tips on diet say no to maida items like toast, khaari ,naan ,white bread. Can drink tea but without sugar say no to Buffalo milk and can drink cows milk can eat brown bread can eat sprout's can eat green vegetables, can eat chappati ,bajra ka rotla can eat one katori of rice twice a day with dal to avoid farsan food items can eat fruits say no to coconut water and repeat lipid profile after six months.

So long as your blood sugar levels are under control, your risk of heart attack are due to other factors like smoke and pollution are more, because you must be eating the right food & doing exercises due to dm. Take care and get checked for heart routinely.

Hello Doctor I am 48 years old. I have BP 130/90 so I am using mild dose tablets only (ie) 2.5 mg. Amlip. But two weeks back I got my BP check up on 25/03/17 It was 140/90. The doctor asked me to take 5 mg daily. He is BHMS. From that day onwards I was taking 5 mg. Suddenly yesterday I saw my legs got swelled as in pregnancy time. I don't know why? Suggest me and clarify.

Some times Amlip can cause leg odema. You can go back to your earlier 2.5 mg dosage and see BP pattern. If swelling disappears then continue T. Amlip and we can add some other small dose anti HT depending upon BP if required and later on discontinue T. Amlip. If leg swelling does not disappear after reducing T. Amlip then you may need to do blood and urine test like CBC, urine R, screat, S. Protein ,TSH to rule out kidney, thyroid or anemia problem.

Dear, To control & maintan BP normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.
