I have lot of acne marks on my face. Due to which my face looks too dull. Please give me advice how it will heal soon.
There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Use home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days.

You are probably having an anal fissure. Stop straining while passing stools. Stop eating wheat and maida based food. Cut down oil and spices in your food. Stop eating cooked food in the night and eat only fruits like bananas, grapes, pomogranate, figs and guava in the night time. Drink tender coconut water three times a day. Perform deep breathing exercises, avoid junk food and include diet with high fiber content like banana pith, green leaves, watery vegetables like turnip, radish etc. Avoid tea, coffee, biscuits and bread strictly.

Gallbladder Stone - Can Homeopathy Treat it?

Gallbladder Stone - Can Homeopathy Treat it?

Homeopathy can very well dissolve gall stones of small and medium sizes, and relieve the gall bladder and body permanently from the pain, suffering and complications coming from gall stones. One of the benefits of homeopathic treatment for gall stones is that your gall bladder does not need removal, and being an important organ for producing digestive enzymes, it is better to keep it in your body. The other benefit is that you get a side effect-free treatment, which is completely efficient and practical, and costs really low compared to other modes of treatments and surgeries.

But before one goes for a homeopathic treatment, a complete evaluation of the patient’s case history must be done so that the right medicine can be given as per the case, history, severity etc. Here is a quick look at the commonly used homeopathic medicines, which doctors, depending on your case history, may prescribe for your gall stone.

Homeopathic medicines used for treating gall stones

  1. Calcarea carbonica: If you have a family history of kidney and gall stones, are anxious and slow, overweight with high deposits of triglycerides and cholesterol, then you would be given this medicine.
  2. Chelidonium: If you get pain in any or both of the two patterns pain originating under your right shoulder blade and pain in the upper right abdomen, which spreads to the back, you will be prescribed this one.
  3. Lycopodium: This medicine is usually recommended in case you have a family history of stones in kidney and gall bladder, along with other complications like, chronic digestive disorders, high cholesterol, gastric problems, constipation, peptic ulcers, gas and bloating. The patient may usually get biliary colic pains late in the afternoon. He or she may also get irritated easily, and hate contradicting opinions.
  4. Natrum sulphuricum: The patient may have any or some of the problems like chronic diarrhea, gall stone pain, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, depression, obesity and problem in joints. On top of that the patient may be too sensitive to changes in humidity and weather. In such a case, Natrum sulphuricum is given.
  5. Nux vomica: If a patient suffers from nausea, colic pains, spasmodic pains, heartburn and acidity, gas and bloating, and takes too much of rich and oily food and drinks, then this medicine is used to treat gall stones for him or her.

As you can see, there is a remedy for all types of patients. Hence in case of small to medium sized gall stones, you can always retain the gall bladder, avoid surgeries, and keep patience with systematic homeopathic treatment from an expert doctor. You will get positive results soon.

My colour is black. I want to my baby more fair. What precautions I choose for that?

My colour is black. I want to my baby more fair. What precautions I choose for that?
The colour of the skin is based on genetics and therefore the baby born will carry the genes from both the parents. The highest priority of the parents is a healthy baby! so don't worry unnecessarily and take good care of your health so that the baby will be healthy. Go for regular checkup with your doctor. Be cheerful because that will really help the baby to grow.

I have dark underarms .i want to lighten it in one month. Please suggest. I am getting married in feb.

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy
Dermatologist,
I have dark underarms .i want to lighten it in one month. Please suggest. I am getting married in feb.
Hello lybrate-user. Dark may be due to many factors like genitic, shaving, antiperspirant, deodorant usage, buildup of dead skin cells and due a medical condition called acanthosis nigricans. Acanthosis nigricans: This condition causes light-brown-to-black markings on the neck, under the arms, or in the groin. It can be related to insulin production or to a glandular disorder and it typically occurs in people who are overweight. Here you should reduce the weight to get ride of the pigmentation. You can use a skin bleaching cream to destroy the excess melanin. The but I don’t recommend this unless you consult a dermatologist first. You can go for laser treatment to destroy the pigment and give you best results before Feb. Wish you a happy married life. Thank you.
