Taking a good meal before the RTC is advised as the process can take as long as three hours in some cases.

How long after a tooth extraction before eating and drinking? Answer that question sir.

You can have cold ice cream or cold drink just after 5-10 mins then soft food for 24 hours and normal food after that.

Although excessive saliva is not too common, there are a number of conditions that can cause it - some harmless, others more serious. It is possible that your saliva problems are just a result of the way you speak. Some people speak faster or slower than others, just as some people blink more often, breathe faster, or have a more rapid heartbeat. This may just be what's normal for you. Since it is negatively affecting your life, I suggest your problem can be ignored. However there are medical conditions that causes excessive salivation injection glycopyrrolate reduces secretions in the mouth, throat, airway, and stomach.

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure and / or root canal treatment. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks.

Wisdom teeth is something which should not be ignored in the age group of 20-35. If it is creating any discomfort to you, plz consult an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and take his opinion. It is something which can cause a lot of damage to you and cause multiple problems in the future.

Sir I am suffering from severe tooth ache from 2 days and I visited a dentist. After examine he advised me to go for root canal treatment. Shall I go for that? Is it not possible to cure my teeth from medicine and precaution only? Please advise.

Usually tooth hurts when nerves are exposed. The only way to save a tooth is root canal treatment An Xray is must to give the final decision.

One of my wisdom tooth is coming in throat. It is not getting space to come out, I am regularly getting infections and results in very very bad smell from mouth or metallic taste. What should I do ,should I remove the wisdom teeth. Or currently what medicine to take to stop this odour from mouth and avoid infection.

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
Gargle with salt and warm water, and using mouthwash can temporarily avoid odour, but ultimately extraction of wisdom tooth is the choice of treatment.

I have a cavity problem and I fear for injection so what I can do to keep my teeth healthy please help.

MDS Prosthodontics, BDS
Dentist, Hyderabad
Not all teeth restoration require injection. There are multiple ways to treat cavities with minimal or no pain. Once the teeth has been treated, you can maintain by brushing twice, taking proper diet less in sugars, avoiding sticky foods and visiting the dentist every six months for a regular check up.

I am having tooth problems. I feel like itching in my enamels. I don't know whether its sensitivity or something else. Please suggest me the solutions. Thank you.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Hai I am 26 years old, in an accident I lost my teeth, I heard that we can regenerate teeth using stemcells of wisdom tooth, is it possible, if it is possible how much the cost will be per tooth. I have already a bridge, but I want natural looking teeth, and I know about dental implants, but I do not want to put artificial things in my mouth.

MDS
Dentist, Wardha
Hello regeneration of teeth using stem cells is under research and study. As of now that technique is not available, may be in another 10 years or so it may be possible. Hope that it answers your question.

I have mouth ulcer in every 2 months and they heal up to 15 days. What should i do?

BDS
Dentist, Hyderabad
There are many reasons of having mouth ulcers, but you need to find out what is the root cause of the ulcers as there is no treatment unless the root cause is identified and that is fixed. All the treatments like applying lozen or creams is a symptomatic therapy. Check for stress, nutritional deficiency, hormonal imbalance, sleeplessness.

My inner mouth cheek has problem since 6 months. After consulting general physician, dentist, ENT specialist, finally consulting with dermatologist since 3 months. I'm prescribed candida mouth paint, kenacort, dologel. It has largely reduced. But, the last 10-15% remain since 2 months. What should I do?

BDS

Sometime oral ulceration may take sometime for proper healing. It seems your medication choice is right. So please wait another month for recovering. Thnks.
