When I am in AC room, my both hand's screen become whitish and rough. What is the solution?

When I am in AC room, my both hand's screen become whitish and rough. What is the solution?
Hi lybrate-user, Cold hands are the result of the natural response of your body to maintain the temperature, but in some cases, it may be an indication of some underlying health problem. 1. Hot Spice Bath - To keep yourself warm, the best way is to take a hot spice bath every night. Mix 1 tablespoon each of crushed cumin, ginger, cayenne pepper, black pepper, cinnamon, oregano, sage, and rosemary. Fill the bath tub with hot water and put all the ingredients in it through a strainer. 2. Cayenne Pepper - Sprinkle about a ½ teaspoon of crushed cayenne pepper in your gloves and socks and wear them. The presence of capsaicin compound in it improves the blood circulation in the body and helps keep hands and feet warm. Alternatively, use cream that contains cayenne pepper. Note: Wear a thin pair of gloves and socks before putting on the sprinkled one. 3. Ginger Root - Ginger root not only enhances the flavor of the food and prevents the blood clots, but also provides warmth to the body. It can be used in 2 ways to treat the cold hands and feet – first is to bathe with the warm ginger water and, second, drinking hot ginger tea. 4. Garlic - Garlic is one of the most trustworthy remedies to get relief from cold feet and hand. Consume 4-5 garlic cloves regularly to get the desired results. 5. Self-Acupressure - The acupressure therapy will help unblock the blood stasis. Find the acupressure point in your hand and feet which help release energy. On the hand, it is found between the thumb and index finger, whereas the acupressure point of feet is located between the big and second toes on the top of your right foot. Apply pressure with your hand’s thumb for about 2-5 minutes. Repeat the process for the other hand and feet. 6.Omega-3 Rich Food - Omega-3 fatty acid is very helpful in cleaning the arteries and keeping the blood circulatory system in good condition. Try eating more and more food rich in it like fish, etc Hope this helps. Good luck.

I am having black spots or marks on my hand due to sun burn. It only happen on my hand instead of any other body part. I don't know what to do.

I am having black spots or marks on my hand due to sun burn. It only happen on my hand instead of any other body part...
Hello Dear, Sunburn is one of the most common problems that people face during summer season. Sunburn is the result of overexposure to ultra violet rays. Sunburn can be immensely painful even though it looks very harmless. If not taken care of, it can cause serious burns. Being a difficult condition to treat, it is better to avoid getting sunburnt than try to treat burnt skin. But these are all hypothetical advices and may not be practical. If you get sunburn, it is important not to take it lightly as it can even cause permanent damage to the skin. Symptoms of sunburn may not surface immediately. The reddening, blisters, skin peeling and boils could surface at a later stage and are even capable of leading to cancerous lesions on the skin. There are home remedies that can remove sunburns naturally without medical intervention. Nevertheless, you must be very careful as to seek medical attention if you do not respond to home remedies. When the skin is burnt, the first step towards healing is to cool the skin form the effect of heat. There are a number of ways to do that. If you have aloe vera and vinegar in its pure form, apply either of the directly on the burnt area.  If you do not have them, mustard oil is another way to remove the heat from the skin. Rub mustard oil on the affected skin and let it dry naturally.

Lotion Vs Cream - Which One Should You Use On Itchy Skin?

Post Graduate Diploma Practical Dermatology, MBBS

Lotion Vs Cream - Which One Should You Use On Itchy Skin?

Have you tried one product after another during the dry weather and are still left with dry and itchy skin. Then your skin care product is to be blamed. Creams, lotions and oils all essentially perform the same job of moisturizing your skin. It is how they do it that is different.

There is a wide range of choices available in the market for all three products with individual variations in ingredients including types of oils like coconut, lavender, jojoba, etc., types of value proposition like 24-hour moisture lock, or intense hydrating care and flavors like rose, strawberry and even chocolate that leaves you smelling great.

The main difference between a cream and lotion:
The main difference between the two besides additives is their oil to liquid ratio. Lotions and creams, both contain oils and water. In lotions the proportion of water is more compared to oil. So it is more 'liquid' in nature and is easy to spread on the skin. Creams on the other hand, are thicker because of their higher oil content. They can typically be more 'greasy' in nature because of their consistency.

Choosing between the two:
Lotion and creams, both will do the trick, but it will depend on what you need and when you use it. Give a good thought to your skin. Is it always dry or only during certain times of the year. If your skin dries easily and you can see a white line if you scratch with your nail, you'll need a cream that absorbs more slowly and has benefits that stay longer.

Applying cream then creates a layer of oil that locks the moisture in your skin. The water does not evaporate, and your skin stays hydrated. Lotions are easy to spread on the skin. If your skin is already soft and supple and you simply need a layer to keep the dryness at bay, a lotion is a good choice for you.

Use both lotion and cream:
Morning, before bed, after baths or repeatedly throughout the day? The time you plan on using a moisturizing product will play a part in determining which type you choose. Creams are great to use right after a bath when the skin is soft after absorbing moisture. The cream then creates a protective layer of oil, which allows the skin to stay hydrated longer.

Creams are also great to use during bedtime when you don't have to worry about getting an oily look on your face or body. Lotions are best if you need to reapply during the day, for instance,  you wash your hands and face and need to dab on some quick moisture.

Mam, lumacip plus cream how long time to be used? Then its safe to the oily skin mam?

Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine, MBBS

Mam, lumacip plus cream how long time to be used? Then its safe to the oily skin mam?
Hi lybrate-user, LUMACIP PLUS CREAM contains: Fluocinolone Topical (0.01% w/w, Hydroquinone Topical (4% w/w, Tretinoin Topical (0.05% w/w). Fluocinolone is a topical steroid. It is not recommended to use this on skin for long period of time without medical advice and indication. Your skin may feel better initially with its use but, it can lead to undesirable effects like flaring up of acne/other infection, unusual pigmentation and dependence. It is also not recommended to use Hydroquinone preparations for long periods of time as it can lead to side effects like hyperpigmentation /hypopigmentation too. For improving tone and texture of face, removal of dark spots and for glowing facial skin, I recommend skin lightening creams, Skin lightening capsules/tablets, Chemical peels and Microdermabrasion therapy. You will need a skin lightening cream and good sunscreen initially. I can prescribe you that. For further improvement, advanced treatments can be initiated. I would be happy to help you. Please consult me privately so that I can understand your problem in detail and help you.

Oily Skin - Homeopathic Treatment for it!

Oily Skin - Homeopathic Treatment for it!

Homeopathy is a branch of traditional medicine that aims to cure diseases and disorders by focusing on causal factors. Homeopathic treatment comes to your aid for all your big and small problems alike. If you are part of the league that suffers from oily skin, homeopathy will be your answer. In most cases, oily skin doesn't lead to severe health issues, but it does cause inconvenience. It makes you feel sticky and smudgy, leading to a loss of confidence.

Homeopathic cures to keep oil on the skin at bay:

Natrum mur: A good homeopath will administer this medicine only after having inquired a litany of things about your constitution. A homeopathic preparation varies from person to person depending upon the constitution of their body. If you have oily skin, you are prone to pore - clogging, acne, pimples and pockmarks. Natrum Mur efficiently deals with these problems. It helps in removing excess oil from the pores, making your skin glow at the same time. Prescription of this medicine is based on symptoms like inability to cope with difficulties, nervousness, intolerance to heat exposure, and an agitated disposition.

Psorinum: Your greasy skin often casts a shadow on your natural complexion. Oily skin makes you look exhausted at all times of the day. You can benefit from Psorinum as it deals with the overactive sebaceous glands, cleans the pores of your skin, treats pimples and also fights dark patches. People who sweat profusely and suffer from body odor problems or people susceptible to cold are usually advised to take this medicine.

Silicea and kali bromatum: Excess oil secretion often leads to the development of pus containing acne or pimples. These pimples, when diminish, may leave permanent or long lasting marks on your face. Scars and marks further result in pigmentation. Such problems can take a huge toll on your psychological health, leading you to be overly concerned about the way you look or losing interest in self appearance. In this regard, Silicea and Kali Bromatum can work wonders for your oily skin and its resultant effects.

Berberis aquifolium: No amount of make up can mar the appeal of clear skin. If you have oily skin, you are likely to face dullness. Since dirt easily settles on a greasy skin, it can make you look darker than usual. Berberis Aquifolium is an unparalleled medication in homeopathy that treats the above conditions without any side effects. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a homeopath and ask a free question.
