For pimples it's important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface, avoid touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands. Not only can you spread bacteria, you can also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy for pimples can also help a lot. I am a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in your skin problems reply back for private consultation.

Hi lybrate user. At first you have to follow some basic things so that you get better results in a short period of time. 1) take food two times in a day only. 2) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals. 3) avoid late night sleeping habits. 4) avoid oily, spicy, salty, junk, fast and fermented foods. A) take 30 ml of audumbaravleha along with 30 ml of lukewarm water after meals. B) take 2-2 tablets of sutshekhar rasa and chandraprabha vati after meals. C) take 60 ml of trifala juice and 20 ml of honey along with 60 ml of lukewarm water at night before sleep. Do all these things for thirty days and reply me for further suggestions. Thanks.

Commonly dandruff or any other infection and lack of hair nourishment are the main causes for hair fall. This requires both local application for dandruff or any other infection and local massage with oil to increase circulation and internal consumption of herbal preparations as nutrients for hair growth.

Coconut oil helps eliminate dandruff due to its antifungal properties. It also moisturizes dry scalp and provides relief from itching. Take some coconut oil and mix half the amount of lemon juice in it. Rub it on your scalp and massage for a few minutes. Wash your hair after at least 20 minutes. Follow this remedy two to three times a week.

Hi doctors suggest me home medicine to increase to fairness on face (like I wanna become fair enough)

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

Hi doctors suggest me home medicine to increase to fairness on face (like I wanna become fair enough)
Everyone has a favourite face cream or treatment, but beautiful skin starts with nourishment from within. Older cells are constantly shed and replaced by younger ones and a steady supply of micronutrients is essential to support this rapid growth. Eat the correct balance of foods and you'll feed your skin the vital nutrients it needs to help it stay soft, supple and blemish-free. Eat your five-a-day Fruit and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants that help to protect skin from the cellular damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are caused by smoking, pollution and sunlight and can cause wrinkling and age spots. Eat a rainbow of colourful fruit and vegetables and aim for at least five portions a day. Betacarotene, found in pumpkin, carrots and sweet potatoes, and lutein, found in kale, papaya and spinach are potent antioxidants, important for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone. Vitamin C Vitamin C is also a super antioxidant. It is needed for a strong immune system, radiant skin and helps blemishes heal properly. The best sources are blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes. They all help to produce collagen that strengthens the capillaries that supply the skin. Cut out crash diets Repeatedly losing and regaining weight can take its toll on your skin, causing sagging, wrinkles and stretch marks. Crash diets are often short in essential vitamins too. Over long periods of time this type of dieting will reflect on your skin. Stock up on selenium Selenium is a powerful antioxidant. It works alongside other antioxidants such as vitamins E and C and is essential for the immune system. Studies suggest that a selenium-rich diet can help to protect against skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. One way to boost your intake is to eat Brazil nuts. Just four nuts will provide the recommended daily amount (RDA). Mix Brazil nuts with other seeds rich in vitamin E as a snack or salad sprinkle. Other good sources are fish, shellfish, eggs, wheatgerm, tomatoes and broccoli. Vitamin E Vitamin E protects skin from oxidative (cell) damage and supports healthy skin growth. Foods high in vitamin E include almonds, avocado, hazelnuts, pine nuts and sunflower and corn oils. Drink up Skin needs moisture to stay flexible. Even mild dehydration will cause your skin to look dry, tired and slightly grey. Drink six to eight glasses of water a day - all fluids count towards your daily allowance, but water is the best. If you work in an office, keep a large bottle of water on your desk to remind you to drink. Herbal, caffeine-free teas are good too. Try to avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, both can age the skin. Don't be afraid of fat Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats - the types found in avocados, fish, nuts and seeds - provide essential fatty acids which act as a natural moisturiser for your skin, keeping it supple. These fats also come packaged with a healthy dose of vitamin E (a vitamin many of us lack), which will help protect against free radical damage. Eat more phyto-estrogens Phyto-estrogens are natural chemicals found in plant foods (phyto meaning plant). They have a similar structure to the female sex hormone oestrogen and have been found to help keep our natural hormones in balance. There are different types, some are found in soya bean products (isoflavones), whereas others are found in the fibre of wholegrains, fruit, vegetables and flax seeds (lignans). Include phyto-estrogen rich soya, wholegrains, fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced diet. Opt for omega-3 Make sure you get enough omega-3 and omega-6 fats. These are essential fatty acids which mean they cannot be made in the body and must be obtained through the diet. You will find omega-3s in oily fish and plant sources such as flaxseed oil, linseeds, walnut and rapeseed oil. Omega-3 fats encourage the body to produce anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help skin, particularly inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psorasis. Go for low-GI carbs Eat plenty of beans, pulses, porridge and other slow-releasing carbohydrates. These release sugar into the blood stream gradually, providing you with a steady supply of energy and leaving you feeling satisfied for longer and therefore less likely to snack. Avoid high GI carbohydrates like biscuits and sugary drinks, as they lead to production of insulin, which may damage collagen and accelerate wrinkles. Don't forget zinc Zinc is involved in the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands in the skin (which produce oil) and helps to repair skin damage and keep skin soft and supple. Zinc-rich foods include fish, lean red meat, wholegrains, poultry, nuts, seeds and shellfish.

Homeopath,
Hi, I have pimples from last 3 year. I consulted doctor they give me isotroin 20 for 6 months and Doxy 1 Dr. Fort but...
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you wherever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifoium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

I have dark circles around my eyes. What is the reason for that and give some suggestions to remove it.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
I have dark circles around my eyes. What is the reason for that and give some suggestions to remove it.
Contrary to popular belief, dark circles are more than just the result of being tired. The truth is the blue or green tone seen is actually the blood passing through the veins located just below the surface of the skin. If the skin around the eyes is extremely thin, as can occur progressively with age, and/or blood vessels are extremely close to the skin's surface, this can also give the appearance of darkness because blood becomes visible through translucent skin. As you age, skin loses its elasticity and ability to regenerate, which makes the appearance of dark circles more prominent regardless of beauty sleep. Genetic predisposition to thinner skin below the eyes can also contribute to the presence of dark circles. Cortisone, allergic reactions to cosmetics, tobacco smoke, and air pollution are known to trigger dark circles and bags under your eyes. Homoeopathic treatment UNDER EYE CREAM ( BAKSON) Apply at night under the eye in circular fashion GLOWCARE DROPS ( LORDS) 20 drops in 20 ml freh water 3 times daily Take a good Iron rich diet likeApple,Pomegranate,Spinach nd all other green vegetables 2 glass milk daily 6-8 glass extra water daily Try to have a sound sleep HOME REMEDIES Slice up a papaya. Papaya fruit contains the enzyme papain. Papain helps exfoliate the skin, making way for new skin cells to emerge. Papaya also contains Vitamin C and Vitamin E, so it's a dark spot fading superstar. Papain is most concentrated while the papaya is still green, but you can use riper fruit as well. Peel and remove the seeds from a papaya, and try one of the following treatments: 1. Slice a piece off of the papaya, and lay or hold it on the dark spots that you want to get rid of. Hold it there for 20-30 minutes. Repeat twice a day for best results. 2.Make a papaya facial mask. Cut the papaya into chunks, then use a blender or food processor to blend the fruit into a smooth paste. Apply the mask to your face and neck. Leave it on for about 30 minutes, then rinse well.

Hey, I'm a 17 year old guy. I used to have alot of pimples on my face. That was probably because I used to masturbate a lot. I used to do it for like 2-3 times in a day and then I reduced it to 2 times in a day. And well, that face rise to my pimple problem. This was like 3 years ago or something. But now since like 6 months I've reduced masturbating. I do it only once or sometimes twice in a week. Also, I've been treating my pimples, i've been consuming an ayurvedic medicine called Safi. I also apply lemon juice on my face. Also, I apply this gel on my pimples called Clindakem A once in a day. My face is better than before now but however, some pimples are still there and they keep coming back whenever I masturbate. Some pimples that went left holes on my face and I really don't like it. Can you please suggest me something to treat my face? I really need a clean and clear face, so do you think I should consult a dermatologist or should opt for a plastic surgery or something?
