I am suffering from fissure from past 3 months, when ever I use medicines it is under control, but once I stop using medicines it again giving me pain. What is the treatment for it. My doctor suggested surgery, do need to go surgery with out any other options?

MBBS, DNB (General Surgery)
General Surgeon, Mumbai
Fissure is a chronic recurring problem that is difficult to treat. Patient lifestyle modification is an important aspect of its treatment. Measures like plenty of oral fluids avoiding foods which are spicy and oily and foods which cause constipation green leafy vegetables in diet short and regular meals rather than binge drinking are very helpful. Surgery is required in conditions where medical treatment fails to reduce symptoms or the problem is recurring. The examining doctor would be the best judge for that.

These 7 Skin Gods Reverse Your Skin?s Ageing
Anti ageing foods for skin

With change in lifestyle and eating/drinking habits, our health deteriorates and the first signs are seen on your face. Nowadays, skin starts ageing in your 20s and it is sad. The good news is that we can take care of our skin health with some minor adjustments in our lifestyle. One such change is adding few foods to our diet. Best foods for skin health are:
Almonds - these nuts have high quantity of vitamin e which doubles as antioxidant protecting the cells of your skin from uv light.
Green tea - apart from helping detox and lose weight, green tea is also good for your skin. The antioxidants in green tea have anti-cancer properties which have been proven and hence, prevent skin cancer.
Dark chocolates - love chocolate? here is a good reason to eat them (in moderation). Antioxidants in dark chocolates protect against sun damage and make the skin smooth & soft.
Carrots - carrots have vitamin a which helps clear skin breakouts. Eating carrots gives you a natural glow and a healthier complexion.
Tomatoes - tomatoes have phytochemicals which help eliminate skin-aging which is caused by harmful ultraviolet rays.
Walnuts - these nuts provide a good amount of omega-3 fatty acids which are particularly important for vegetarians who are not getting the same from fish. Not having enough of omega-3 fatty acids can cause dry, scaly skin often leading to eczema.
Water - yes, plain water! it hydrates your skin and allows it to breathe. And, it is the best liquid substitute to sugar filled juices and soda.

Please show post delivery exercise to tighten the stomach and abdominal skin. How to be toned.
Lie on your back, knees bent. Place a towel across your upper shins and grasp each end. Pull the ends of the towel and squeeze thighs together. Inhale, then exhale as you draw your abs in and lift your shoulders off the floor [shown]. Hold, and contract and release, your ab muscles 10 to 12 times, working up to 20. Do moves 1–4 in order for two weeks.

One of the doctors replied me serums are the best to give a healthy fairer skin. Then which is the best one for face? I am a boy 22 age. I have normal to oily skin. Which serum can improve my complexion and fairness with minimum side effects?

Hi. I understand you are looking for a fairness cream but ideally there needs to be a careful evaluation of your facial skin. Ideally an SPF 30 and above sunscreen is a must (applied half an hour before sun exposure). Avoid any fairness creams which friends/relatives/chemists who are non-medicos advise. A Vitamin C based serum can be tried after a proper consultation.

I have a dark circles and want to get rid off. Tell me what to do. I sleep on time. Means sleep well.
1. Most important thing is take lots of rest as a routine part of your life. Sleep for atleast 8 hours 2. Limit your screen life. Take breaks while working on computer and wash eyes frequently with cold water. 3. Wash your face twice with a good cleanser like tea tree face wash and use soothing toner like rose water or tea tree after that.

Cleansing twice daily can unclog pores, prevent clogged pores, and reduce oiliness. When cleansing your face, you'll want to: Use warm water. Hot water can irritate your skin, causing pores to look larger.
