There is no specific reasons for fibroids to develop and the treatment is you have to get them removed surgically but if it is not giving you any problems and not increasing in size you leave it like that only sometimes small fibroid go symptom less all your life but remember to keep a check on its growth.

Hello. Eating expired eatables will cause Food Poisoning, which can start within hours of eating contaminated food, often include nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. Most often, food poisoning is mild and resolves without treatment. But some people need to go to the hospital. Medication: Homoeopathic medicine - Arsenic. Album 200/ 4 times a day for 3 days. Revert back.

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS

I will tell you what to eat and what not to eat! avoid sugars, sweets, salts, snacks, munching on junk food. Take lots of fresh fruits and salads and clear soups -easily available in can noteens, otherwise carry from home a box of cut fruits and salads, some brown bread, boiled egg, toned milk, curds/ raita with cucumbers etc. Take high protein diet like egg, nuts, roasted chana as snacks as they are filling and keep away hunger pangs.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
If you get chicken pox during the first or second trimester of pregnancy, there's a slight risk (probably less than 2 percent overall) that your baby will get something called congenital varicella syndrome (cvs).

Hi i m 20 female. Suddenly my periods have become irregular and my stomach feels bloated (on normal days too) .Is there any connection between the two?

Vaidya Visharad
Ayurveda, Narnaul
Hello Dear,Periods occur when the egg formed during each menstrual cycle in the female body is not fertilized and hence ejected out of the reproductive system along with blood and several other tissue cells. The duration of each menstrual cycle is about 28 days Most women will experience their monthly period right from the time they are 13 to the time they are 50. For many women, their monthly period is nothing more than an annoyance; but other women may suffer some problems.

Health benefits of broccoli

MD - General Medicine
Sexologist, Delhi
Health benefits of broccoli

Cholesterol reduction: Like many whole foods, broccoli is packed with soluble fiber that draws cholesterol out of your body. Reducing allergic reaction and inflammation: Research has shown the ability of kaempferol to lessen the impact of allergy-related substances on our body. Broccoli even has significant amounts of omega 3 fatty acids, which are well known as an anti-inflammatory. Powerful antioxidant: Of all the cruciferous vegetables, broccoli stands out as the most concentrated source of vitamin C, plus the flavonoids necessary for vitamin C to recycle effectively. Also concentrated in broccoli are the carotenoids lutein, zeaxanthin, and beta-carotene, other powerful antioxidants. Bone health: Broccoli contains high levels of both calcium and vitamin K, both of which are important for bone health and prevention of osteoporosis. Heart health: The anti-inflammatory properties of sulforaphane, one of the isothiocyanates (ITCs) in broccoli, may be able to prevent (or even reverse) some of the damage to blood vessel linings that can be caused by inflammation due to chronic blood sugar problems. Diet aid: Broccoli is a good carb and is high in fiber, which aids in digestion, prevents constipation, maintains low blood sugar, and curbs overeating.

Planning to get pregnant. Is it ok to take becosules capsules as folic acid supplements for 2_3 months before pregnancy? I am afraid as max intake of folic acid is 400mcg, but becosules contain folic acid 1.4mg. Is it safe?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
Yes it is safe. Minimum requirement is 400 mcg but there is tablet with that strength. You can take becosules safely. Other preparations have 5 mg of folic acid which should be combined with vit b12.
