Hi doctor, I have multiple problems, such like piles upto 5 years, frequent urine discharge within 15-20 minute and occuring upto 8 years.,and now i am suffering from infertility problems. please reply me in proper guidence .thanks

Piles is unrelated to infertility problems. Piles needs separate attention and consider taking plenty water, laxatives and ointments. Sometimes you may need surgery. Urine discharge may be due to infection and infertility may also be due to infection. For that, you must consult your doctor and get a semen analysis done and then find the cause of the problem. If cause is found, the treatment is easier.

Dear lybrate user avoid shampoos and perfumed hair oils, use shika powder instead, eat more vegetables and whole fruits, drink plenty of water, since hair fall depends on many internal factors it needs an internal medicinal treatment for cure Homoeopathic constitutional treatment provides permanent cure from such tendency permanently by removing the root cause itself, medicines will be in nano dose and don't have any side effects or life long dependancy You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance

Which oil should I consume?

LCPS, BAM&S
General Physician, Pune
Which oil should I consume?
Oil and ghee (Butter oil) have been the soul of Indian cooking for generations. But doctors are advising usage of the same with caution. In fact some nutritionists are insisting for use of olive oil. What is the reality?

Peanut oil, mustard oil, sunflower oil, Safflower oil, soya oil are popular oils used all over India. And Vanaspati Ghee and Desi Ghee are popular choices amongst ghee. Usage of Poly-unsaturated fatty acids used to be deciding factor to choose oil type.

But now it is acknowledged wide over that Saturated Fatty acids are equally important and they increase the good cholesterol level. That means eat any type of oil or ghee. It is good for health. Palm oil or desi ghee was considered bad. But now it is recommended.

Only there is upper limit to quantity. For a 2000 calorie diet, oil/ghee consumption should not be more than 600 calorie.

Then what is bad? It’s trans fat. When oil is reheated again and again, trans fats are formed which are bad for heart.

I short, consume any oil or ghee it is good for health if eaten moderately.

Chlamydia - Things You Must Know About It!

Chlamydia is a Sexually Transmitted Disease. It is generally found in men and women under the age of 25. Researchers have found that in the United States about 2.9 million individuals develop this disease every year.

Here are things that you must know about the disease:

What is it all about?
It is caused due to bacterial infection and is transferred sexually. You can be infected with disease by having vaginal, oral or anal sex with the patient. You must be aware of the fact that you can develop chlamydia even if your partner doesn’t ejaculate inside your vaginal tract. If you had suffered from this disease in the past, you can still get it again by having unprotected sex with an infected person.

What are the symptoms of this disease?
There aren’t any obvious symptoms for this disease. Most of the patients show no sign of developing this disease. Thus, you never get to know when you were infected actually. However, some patients do reflect some symptoms after 4 to 5 days of infection. These symptoms include abnormal penis or vaginal discharge and painful, burning urination. Men can also develop a bleeding rectum.

How do you know for sure that you are infected?
Well, you can get yourself tested to confirm about the infection.

What happens if you don’t get treated?
If the patient doesn’t seek medical help, he or she is posing threat to his or her health. Women may develop pelvic inflammatory diseases, infertility or ectopic pregnancy. In men, it can cause pain and fever as the infection spreads along the tube carrying sperm.

Is there any treatment?
This disease is curable. But it is important to avoid sexual contact with anyone during the period of treatment or medication. First, you need to undertake the test to confirm the infection. You shouldn’t have sex for seven days after the treatment is over. It is advisable to get yourself tested thrice in a year. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a sexologist.

Hello, If pregnancy is ruled out then the delay is likely to be stress induced and if menses do not arrive in next 7 days then she can opt for a withdrawal bleed with progesterones.

I am 19 and my fiancee sucks and bite my breast every time we meet so bite can cause something.
Hello, thank you for your question. If the biting and sucking is causing pain it would be a good idea to ask him to stop. As long as the touch is pleasurable and acceptable to you generally it will not cause harm. Pain is a sign from your body that the tissue is resisting in some way and is getting hurt. Sometimes you need to learn more about your own body so that you can teach your fiance how to touch you so that you experience the most pleasure. You can have a look at a book called' the mirror within' by anne dickson. This will help you to learn more about your own preferences for sensual touch and how to communicate it to your fiance. Hope this helps best wishes.

Home work can be done. For any couple to get pregnancy it requires patience, as treatment after treatment can be tried and possibility of pregnancy is only on day of ovulation in cycle. Leave it to gynaecologist or infertility specialist in whom you have trust to decide what treatment when.
