Hello, get your eyes tested from an opthalmologist. Include the following for getting better vision: vitamins a, c, e, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. Dha is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for strengthening eye muscles: -begin by partially closing your eyes; the lids should only be halfway shut. After holding for 10-15 seconds, close your eyes very slowly. Take a few deep breaths to increase oxygen in the blood. -warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. -hold a pen at arm's length. Focus your gaze on the tip of the pen. Bring the pen closer to your nose at a slow and steady pace. Repeat this exercise 5-10 times. -concentrate your vision on the tip of your nose. Then shift your gaze to an object further away, either at arm's length or 20 feet away. Then shift your eyes back to the tip of your nose. Repeat this exercise 10 times. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Begin by look to the left-most position (without moving your head) and hold to stretch your eye muscles. Hold for 5 counts. Blink and return your gaze back to look straight in front of you. Then look to the right-most position with your gaze and hold for 5 counts. Repeat 3 times, blinking between each hold. Then, repeat this exercise looking up and then down. Do not forget about blinking. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Look up and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look up to and to your left for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your left for 5 seconds. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing first and then reducing the power of your eyes (if the eye power is less). Take physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 4-6 months and instill euphrasia eye drops twice a day. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

red eyes could be because of many reasons but commonly it is due to allergy or infection. You need to visit eye specialist to differentiate between the two as the treatment is different. Also get your eyes checked for any change in glass power

Hello Prolonged working on laptop/TV/mobile can cause computer vision syndrome. Computer vision syndrome is a condition resulting from focusing the eyes on a computer or other display device for, uninterrupted periods of time. Some symptoms of cvs include a. Headaches b blurred vision c. Neck pain d redness in the eyes e. Eye strain f dry eyes sometimes watery eyes these symptoms can be further aggravated by improper lighting conditions. Measures to reduce this include 1. Work under proper light. 2. Blink a lot. 3. Cold compresses 4. Use good lubricating eyedrop

The most common causes of headaches are stress, exposure to strong sunlight or bright lights, inadequate and irregular food and water intake and sinusitis. You seem to already been diagnosed as tension headache. It is due to build up of muscle tension in response to stress. So you need to learn different methods of handling and dealing with stress. Meditation, pranayam, yoga, self hypnosis, reiki are some of the relaxation techniques you may try. For associated eye pain is most likely referred, but can also be due to sinusitis, eye muscle imbalance and uncorrected refractive error. Please get an eye checkup done to make sure your eyes are healthy.

You may have conjunctivitis and that can be cured by taking proper antibiotic eyedrops but self medication may harm your eyes.

Dear lybrate-user. This complaint of eye lid twitching is quiet common. Most common cause is stress so divert your attention, have sound sleep, play out door games or just outings, spend less time on computer, mobile.As a last resort mild sedatives are advised. All these things will destress you and you will feel good. 90% you will be cured only in 10% of cases medical checkup and further investigations are required.

Hello, What kind of eye problem is there? - Myopia? Have you got your eyes tested? Include the following for getting better vision: Vitamins A, C, E, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Exercises for eyes: Warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. Roll your eyes. Start by looking up and then slowly circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise. Focus. Hold a pen at arm's length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it's about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all. Massage your temples. Using your thumb knuckles, massage your temples in small circles, 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other. Repeat the same actions above the mid-point of the eyebrows at the forehead, then below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose. Take a mini-nap. Put your head back, close your eyes, and relax for 3 minutes. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing rather reducing the power of your eyes. Take Physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 1 month. Hello 1. Retinitis pigmentosa is a progressive disease 2. Speed of progression varies from person to person. I have seen patients going bling at young age of 30 years and I have seen patients having good vision even at age of 50 yrs. So, you can go for 6 months perimetry test and that will guide you the rate of progression.

Apply rose water in eyes and then put a wet (dipped in cold water) piece of cotton over eyes and put a small ice cube over it for 2 mins. Your eyes will be relaxed after it and power will not increase too. You can repeat it 2-3 times in a day normally with/without any infections also. And REDUCE watching tv and use laptops and mobiles less. Still if you have any query,please let me know...

There are many options for keratoconus these days depending upon the stage of the disease. If it is very early you do not have to do anything. If it is progressing, then the progression can be halted by collagen corneal cross-linking. For visual rehabilitation you can go for contact lenses or INTACS. If diease is very advanced then you may need to undergo a partial/full thickness corneal transplantation. Get your eyes checked by a good corneal specialist.

Both lutein and zeaxanthin are primarily found in green leafy vegetables, although zeaxanthin is far scarcer than lutein. Kale and spinach are two of the most lutein-rich foods, but you'll also find it in carrots, squash, and other orange and yellow fruits and vegetables.
