I Have bleeding in my teeth after sleeping y what the reason for that give me any suggestions about this problem.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
I Have bleeding in my teeth after sleeping y what the reason for that give me any suggestions about this problem.
1. The most common reason for spontaneous nocturnal gum bleeding is periodontitis, or inflammatory gum disease. This is due to the gum's physiologic response to bacterial irritants (dental plaque), which induce all the classical signs of inflammation (redness, swelling, pain, loss of function). Most relevant of the effects of gum inflammation is the phenomenon where the tiny blood vessels that course through the gum tissues become engorged, more fragile, and more easily ruptured, causing bleeding. 2. Spontaneous bleeding can also arise due to some impairment in the clotting mechanism-- either unintentional (due to disease) or intentional (administration of blood-thinning drugs). 3. Gums can also bleed due to physical injury in the mouth, or some tissue lesion or disease state that manifests in the mouth. In cases of gum bleeding, I generally recommend that the patient schedule a diagnostic visit with their dentist. Depending on the presence and severity of gum disease, it may be necessary to implement various different types of treatments to control the progressive damage that may result to the supporting tissues of the teeth.

Sensitivity can be either due to loss of enamel layer or due to decay in teeth. Get your teeth evaluated by dentist to one the cause of sensitivity n get treated accordingly. Meanwhile use a desensitizing toothpaste such as senquelf or sensodyne toothpaste to reduce sensitivity. Rub some of it onto your tooth surface n wait for 5 mins before rinsing.

The type of treatment you have for toothache will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.

Contraindications - include many lung conditions, such as asthma, cardiac problems, epilepsy and parkinson's disease). You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Hello. Tooth sensitivity — also known as dentin hypersensitivity — affects the tooth or exposed root surfaces. This occurs when the enamel that protects our teeth gets thinner, or when gum recession occurs, exposing the underlying surface, the dentin, thus, reducing the protection the enamel and gums provide to the tooth and root. If hot, cold, sweet or very acidic foods and drinks, or breathing in cold air, makes your teeth or a tooth sensitive or painful then you may have sensitive teeth. Tooth sensitivity can come and go over time. Causes: There are many causes of tooth sensitivity, including: Worn tooth enamel from using a hard toothbrush or brushing too aggressively Tooth erosion due to highly acidic foods and beverages Tooth erosion due to bulimia or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) Gum recession that leaves your root surface exposed There are several conditions which can cause pain, but which are not tooth sensitivity: Dental caries A cracked or chipped tooth Grinding or clenching the teeth Leakage around restorations External tooth bleaching Management: Proper oral hygiene is the key to preventing gums from receding and causing sensitive-tooth pain. If you brush your teeth incorrectly, or over-brush, your gums may become sensitive. Brushing properly twice daily for 2 minutes with toothpaste that does not have high levels of abrasives, and flossing once a day, can help reduce the chance of tooth sensitivity. A diet low in acidic foods (tomatoes, pickles, tea, citrus fruits) and drinks also helps prevent tooth sensitivity. As the blood supply to the injured tooth gets affected which causes change in colour and thickness of the tooth. Treatment: Apply Plantago Q/ few drops on cotton swab, place it on the affected teeth and press it tightly, do it thrice a day. Orally, take Mag. Phos. 6x and Arnica 200 - both 3 times a day for a month. Do visit a dentist for proper diagnosis, share the reports with me. In case possible, will help you in treating your problem.

Should/Can we use mouthwash more than twice a day? P.S. I neither smoke nor drink.

Certification in Full Mouth Rehabilitation, Certification in Rotary Endodontics, Certification in Esthetic Dentistry & Fixed Prosthodontics, BDS
Dentist, Ahmedabad
Yes you can use mouthwash twice thrice a day if required, you can use after having sticky foods, you should gargle before bed. You can use before or after brushing. Generally, we suggest it having two times mixed with equal quantity of water with brushing twice daily. For particular reason, you can use more time if conditions permit, for maintaining oral hygiene you should get your teeth clean n polish by dentist then use mouthwash to maintain it.
