Cough for many years needs investigation to r/o any pathology. If all normal ,it can be due to upper airway cough syndrome,in which upper airways are sensitive to environment

Hello lybrate-user deepak. It's very good of you to have come up with this question about a family member. He can get rid of his addiction only if he accepts that he accepts that he is an addict and that he should get rid of this problem. He should attend a deaddiction clinic and the family members should be very supportive in his endeavour. If he's planning to get married he must inform the girl about his addiction before marriage. Nimhans is a very good centre but there are other centres also which can be visited.

Hello! it is advisable that you have cinnamon powder. Soak 1 tsp cinnamon powder overnight in a glass of water and consume it in the morning. Empty stomach but after getting fresh. Cinnamon powder is the most effective, natural as well as easy to do remedy for your asthma patient and any problem related to it. Asthma and other such problems related to it can also be cured through simple diet and exercise regimes. Remember that prevention is always better than cure is the core principle of naturopathy and I may advice remedies that are not that easy to maintain and consumed on regular basis but will surely prevent your disease with its root cause. Thanks:)

I am 38 year old and having cold, with sneezing and cough for last one month taking homoeopathy medicine. Please suggest.

MBBS
General Physician, Cuttack
1. Do steam inhalation by steam inhaler 2-3 times daily with karvol plus inhalant capsule 2. Put otrivin nasal drop 1 drop thrice daily. 3. Take one tablet of levocetrizine (5mg) at bed time. 4. Drink lukewarm water/hot soup/herbal tea etc 5. If you have recurrent attack of cold you may be having sinusitis/allergic rhinitis 6. Take plain xray pns/ct scan of pns after consulting ent specialist to exclude sinusitis and take treatment accordingly 7. If sinusitis is excluded, it I could be due to allergic rhinitis, do an allergy test after consulting allergy specialist/immunologist to find out the cause of allergy and follow the treatment and advice accordingly.
