Thanks for reaching out. Please clarify whether in 24 hours she sleeps for 10 to 12 hours. That should be enough. Is she drinking milk well and active at times she is awake it is fine. You take 2 to 3 cuos of tea. That will not affect the baby's sleep. You can eat more nutricious food such as porridge or milk instead of tea.

My daughter is 8 years old. She has suffering cough problem and disturb to take air in morning 3 am. Dust, hot temp, cold, is problem. A minor sound is release from chest when she take air. More cough is deposited inside the chest. Not disease food properly. Discontinue stool.

Pediatrician, Ghaziabad
As per your description, she probably has bronchila asthma. Try to avoid exposure to dust/smoke etc. Do not use deo, perfume or anti mosquito spray or coil in the bedroom. Give her steam whenever she has cough. Ensure that you give her influenza vaccine, this is very beneficial in such cases. She also might require long term inhalers, for which you have to consult your paediatrician.

Hi, the prepared milk should be consumed within 1/2 an hour of it's preparation by keeping it inside the fridge. Don't give the same preparation again to your baby after that, discard it.

Honey excellent for Cough

A spoonful of honey can quieten children?s? night time cough and help them and their parents sleep better.

When compared to the cough syrup ingredient dextromethorphan or no treatment, honey came out on top. According to a study from Archives of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, the results are so strong that it can be said that honey is better than no treatment and dextromethorphan was not in children with upper respiratory infections (URIs). There is currently no proven effective treatment for cough due to an URI like the common cold. While dextromethorphan is widely used, there is no evidence that it works, and it carries risks.

Honey is used around the world as a home remedy for cough, and might provide a safe, effective alternative to cough medicine.

To investigate its role, the researchers compared buckwheat honey, a honey?flavoured dextromethorphan preparation, and no treatment in 105 children who had sought treatment for night time coughs due to colds. Among the three groups, children given honey had the greatest reduction in cough frequency and severity, and the most improved sleep, as did their parents. Its sweet, syrupy quality may be soothing to the throat, while its high antioxidant content could also be a factor. Honey also has antimicrobial effects.

Honey is not recommended for infants younger below one year of age because of the risk of botulism spores.

Give your son fibrous diet and good quantity of water. Encourage him to sit on pot daily. Even if he goes once in 3 or 4 days normal stool, need not to worry.

The only language newborns know is crying, crying. If he is gaining weight normally and active you don't have to worry about it. Burping: after each and evey feed try put him on your shoulder and burp him. Gas in the stomach will come out. Gas distension in the stomach may cause discomfort to the baby. Avoid spicy food while feeding. Check the mouth and tongue of the baby for mouth thrush (fungal infection -curd like layer) which may cause pain during feeding.

Hello Lybrate user you should need to take medication for milk production artificially. There is no way to stimulate milk production without supplements.
