I have a desk job and in the last 2 years my weight has gone up from 75 kgs to 85 kgs. I want to lose weight. Please help.

I have a desk job and in the last 2 years my weight has gone up from 75 kgs to 85 kgs. I want to lose weight. Please ...
Your weight is controlled by 4 major factors (1) refined sugar consumption (2) exercise and hydration (3) posture and sitting (4) how many times do you indulge yourself - alcohol, binge eating at parties, overeating etc. Step 01: refined sugar 1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. Step 02: get exercise and proper hydration 1. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water. Step 03: improve posture and sitting habits if you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. Step 04: stop indulging and eat more of raw natural stuff 1. No more than 60 ml of hard liqour or 2 glasses of beer per day. 2. Try to eliminate the urge to overeat but if you do overeat try to limit the incidents to two times per week. 3. Eat 4 servings of fruits per day. 4. Each of your meal should contain 50% of raw vegetables. Once you incorporate the above points in your routine you will see a dramatic difference in your weight, physical shape and energy levels. You will find that there are a lot of companies out there that are trying to sell expensive products to naive consumers in the name of weight loss. These products may not necessarily be good for you. Losing and maintaining weight is something which is totally in your hands, it is easy and it is free of cost if you follow the above mentioned points.

Having headaches almost daily then again everything gets normal. What should I do?

Having headaches almost daily then again everything gets normal. What should I do?
Common causes of headache are - Vision problem, sinusitis, stress, tensions, migraine, anxiety, high BP, cluster headaches, fever. Treatment depends on the cause of headache. I would suggest u to get ur vision checked and blood pressure checked too. Get your xray PNS view to rule out sinusitis if recurrent nasal congestions and blockage. Take over-the-counter painkiller if intolerable pain. Drink plenty of liquids. Hope this helps u. If required, consult.

The male pattern baldness is becoming very common nowadays, that too with early onset. The only permanent and safe solution which gives tremendous psychological benefits by changing your looks is hair transplant. The state of art micro follicular hair transplant gives excellent results with permanent naturally growing hairs practically without any scar and without any side effects. In one stage we can put as many as 4000 to 7000 hair grafts (follicular units) aiming good density for the area covered (megasession and gigasession covering maximum area with excellent density is the main distinguishing feature at olmec). For your information I want to tell that one graft is the hair unit in which number of hairs may be 1 to 4, thus the total number of hairs in single stage (gigasession) varies from 10000 to 15000. If the area is large then you may need more than one session. Cost: fut- cost is 30 rupees (0.5 usd) per graft. The highest cost in package for fut gigasession (>4000 grafts)? rs. 1, 25000 ($ 2100 usd). Fue- cost is rs 40 (0.7 usd) per graft. The highest cost in package for fue gigasession (>3000 grafts)? rs. 1, 25000/- ($ 2100 usd). How to calculate: no. Of grafts required = bald area in sq cm x 60 grafts e. G. If bald area is 50 sq cm then grafts required is 50 x 60 = 3000 grafts. Cost can be calculated as total number of grafts multiplied by rs. 30 (usd 0.5) for fut and rs. 40 (usd 0.7) for fue. After hair transplant, you can shampoo the head on 3rd day. The hairs will start growing in a natural way in next 21/2 months to 3 months. The transplanted hairs will grow 100 % in natural way and will require cutting and shaving. Over the period, the growth increases dramatically, giving you a changed look which truly brings a positive change in your life with immense psychological benefit. Please send close up pics of your head (front, sides and back views) for detailed evaluation and planning

Ayurvedic Herbs That Help You In Relieving Thyroid

Ayurvedic Herbs That Help You In Relieving Thyroid

Situated in the neck, the thyroid gland plays an important role in the body– it produces hormones required for regulating growth. Through its role, the thyroid gland influences most metabolic processes in the body. Problems of the thyroid gland can range from simple conditions such as goiter (enlargement of the thyroid glands) to something as fatal as cancer. The most common thyroid problem is the abnormal production of hormones.

Overproduction of hormones by the thyroid gland results in ‘hyperthyroidism’ whereas underproduction of hormones causes ‘hypothyroidism’. It is necessary to take steps to deal with thyroid problems as their complications can be severe at times.

Ayurveda is a time honored system of medicine, the treatments of which have holistic healing properties. Ayurvedic treatments are free from side effects as they do not contain synthetic ingredients. In case of thyroid problems, Ayurvedic remedies focus on balancing the production of hormones. The various doshas in the body – kapha, vata and pitta are balanced, so as to promote overall wellbeing.

The various Ayurvedic herbs that help with addressing thyroid problems are –

  1. Ashwagandha: Ashwagandha is a very widely used herb in Ayurvedic medicine due to its numerous benefits. It has anti-oxidizing properties which calm the brain and strengthen the immune system. It helps relieve symptoms of fatigue and inability to focus, both being indicators of thyroid problems.

  2. Bacopa: Bacopa is a herb that is extremely beneficial for the overall health of the nervous system. It helps you focus better while boosting memory capacity. It also helps in controlling and reducing inflammation.

  3. Black Walnut: Black walnut is rich in magnesium that helps in proper functioning of the thyroid gland, a deficiency of which causes thyroid problems.

  4. Bugleweed: A herb that is effective in treating cold and cough, bugleweed also has beneficial effects on the thyroid gland. It is often used as a sedative or an astringent.

  5. Coleus: Coleus is a herb that is rich in anti-oxidants, which help in minimizing free radical damage in the body. It helps in improving the functioning of the thyroid gland and also helps in the treatment of certain cardiovascular disorders.

  6. Echinacea: A herb that strengthens the immune system of the body, Echinacea plays a vital role in preventing thyroid problems. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda and ask a free question.
