Take Tab Pantocid 40 mg once a day and do not smoke / drink. Walk for half hour after dinner. If this does not help you need an operation for the problem. Hope you have got an ECG done, chest pain and Lt arm pain may suggest a serious heart problem.

Mera pet saf nhi hota poora din 3-4 bar potty jana pdta h. Mai kya kru. Constipation bhut rhta h.

Mera pet saf nhi hota poora din 3-4 bar potty jana pdta h. Mai kya kru. Constipation bhut rhta h.
The first line of treatment that almost everyone resorts to is that of taking laxatives. It is likely to be any of the most frequently advertised one bought over the counter. It may even be something recommended by an elder in the family. The biggest disadvantage of such laxatives is that they are habit forming. Once you start takingthem, you cannot leave them. Otherwise, you will not be able to evacuate your bowels in a satisfactory manner. Here, Homeopathy offers the biggest advantage. The homeopathic medicines do not work as laxatives. This means that you should not expect them to work as short term quick fixes. Rather, they work to improve the digestive system which has lost its proper and smooth functioning. The peristaltic movement of the intestines, which is responsible for pushing out the waste matter is often compromised in patients who are constipated. Homeopathy  intends to cure the root cause of constipation. It is therefore natural that these medicines are going to take some time to get things going. Ultimately, it is effective at restoring this peristaltic movement to the normal self You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance

There is a small swelling just on one side of my anus. It doesn't cover the hole in any fraction. It doesn't hurt. When I touch, I feel a "ball like thing" What is that? Is it scary? What kind of treatment will be given to me? Is there anything I should do?

MBBS
General Physician, Mumbai
Dear Lybrateuser, - If the swelling is near the anal opening it is a hemorrhoid, that is swelling of the vein in that area - to reduce it follow some precautions: - avoid constipation & straining & sitting too long at stools - to avoid constipation & for a smooth bowel movement have more of fibre containing foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains such as whole wheat, brown rice, oats, corn, quinoa instead of refined ones, beans, lentils, pulses, peas, sprouts, nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pista, cashews, peanuts - avoid fried, spicy & junk food, also alcohol & tobacco if you take - have plenty of oral fluids including 8-10 glasses of water for proper digestion & hydration - apply Smuth gel before & after motions till swelling subsides - take tablet Sitcom, one tablet daily on the morning after breakfast.

Please avoid sedentary life/night watching/junk foods completely. Take balance diet and on time Keep bowels clear Include papaya daily in your diet raw/ripe Maintain a schedule of your daily work and follow it - this should include a morning workout/walking daily for at least 30-45 minutes. Do drink water according to your thirst only. Take Nux vom 30 - thrice daily 4 pills for next 2 weeks Give me a feedback thereafter Continue treatment.

I am taking pantakind tab on alternative days for acidity. Is it safe to continue.

PGD Maternal Child Health, MBBS
General Physician, Akola
I am taking pantakind tab on alternative days for acidity. Is it safe to continue.
Unless you have got proven hyper secretion of acid, you should no go on taking this medicine unnecessarily and indefinitely. This is a proton pump inhibitor drug stopping even normal acid secretion which is essential for hydrolysis and partial digestion of proteins in the stomach. If the acid becomes less than required, your food remains unhydrolyzed and stays longer in the stomach without moving forward. On the contrary overstay of such undigested food and muscle contractions attempting to push it ahead may cause some of it to regurge back in the esophagus giving heartburn despite taking these tablets. So use any medicine if it is prescribed by a qualified physician only.
