Irregular periods Advice Dear Lybrate User, Irregular periods can be caused due to different reasons like stress, poor nutrition, sudden weight loss, excessive exercise, anorexia nervosa and the most common hormonal disturbances in women. If you have already been told that irregularity in your periods is due to certain hormonal imbalances then to correct them is important. For example a thyroid hormone imbalance can cause menstrual irregularities when the amount of thyroid hormone is the blood is too low or high. Try the following simple tips to regularize your menstrual flow - Avoid any sudden weight changes. Eating disorders like anorexia or low nutrient stores in the body can cause irregular periods. So have a well balanced diet with whole cereals and grains, pulses, dairy products, eggs, fish, lean meat and poultry, not to forget plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid any kind of stress as far as possible as the main cause of irregular periods is stress (fear, depression, a family holiday, stress at work, relationship stress). Get moderate regular exercise as exercise like a light jog or meditation is a good way to burn the stress levels in the body. To regularize your periods drink a glass of fresh carrot juice daily on regular basis for 3 months. Asafetida, fenugreek seeds, sesame seeds and ginger also help to regularize the periods, liberally include them in your meals while cooking. For any further clinical assistant kindly revert back to me. Thanking You.

Gathiya Rog Me Parhej in HIndi -

Gathiya Rog Me Parhej in HIndi -

Check your hemoglobin level. Normally it should be 12, but up to 10.5 is acceptable. Any level below 10 means every month you are loosing more blood than your body can replace. In that case a good resolution ultrasound exam could detect the cause of excess bleeding and the cure is can be advised accordingly. Some other blood tests may also be necessary.

10 Ways To Cope Better With Emotional Upsets!

10 Ways To Cope Better With Emotional Upsets!

Life has its ups and downs, but often we hold on to the downs for much longer than the actual event. While the trigger or anger, pain and hurt are beyond our control, the amount it can affect us is well within reach. Here are a few ways to cope better with emotional upsets.

  1. Give yourself a window to be upset: Be realistic and give yourself a time frame to give in to your emotions. Whether, angry, sad or frustrated tell yourself that you have only 1 day to be upset. In a way, this will diffuse the anger, frustration and once this time is over, you can start planning ahead.
  2. Take responsibility: Try analysing what you may have done to make the other person react in the way he or she did. Focus on what you could have done better and you will find yourself feeling more empowered.
  3. Get physical: Exercise and other forms of physical activity decrease stress hormones and increases the productions of endorphins or happy hormones that elevate the mind. Exercising also gives you time to focus on yourself without distractions.
  4. Express yourself: Whether it’s through art or writing, find an outlet for your emotions. This keeps it from being bottled up inside and gets the pain and frustration out of your system.
  5. Breathe: Breathing techniques like ujayii and anulom vilom can help calm the mind down when it is troubled and upset. These breathing techniques also keep your emotions from escalating.
  6. Get company: It is never a good idea to isolate yourself when you’re feeling blue. Instead, find people who you can open up to and share your thoughts with. This will give you a fresh perspective on what is going on.
  7. Look at both sides: No event is ever completely bad. No matter what may be troubling you look at both the good and bad sides of it. This can help minimise your loss and make it easier to let go of the problem.
  8. Do something different: The best way to get your mind off something is to give it something else to focus on. If you’re troubled by something that happened at work, go for a drive or play a sport. Similarly, if you’re having relationship trouble, go out with a few friends or read a book to take your mind off it.
  9. Visualize: Imagine the person or the event that is upsetting you as an object in your mind and visualise it melting away. Remind yourself that the anger or frustration you are feeling is worse than the person or event itself.
  10. Clean up: Organise your desk, your room or start cleaning up space around you. This will take attention away from whatever is troubling you and give you something to do. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

Sexual dysfunction-overview
Definition:
Sex is one of the basic instincts of human life. It is as important as food, clothing and shelter. Sex is not just for human reproduction or making babies, but it is also a mode of physical and mental relaxation. Lack of proper sex education by our government and educational institutions has led to mushrooming of quacks, hakims, vaids & unqualified sex specialists. This is one of the major reasons fo a Dr B K Kashyap qualified in male sexual diseases to overcome to rescue of the patients of northern India in tackling their sexual problems. Following are the few quaries and their answers which one comes across in sexual medicine practice.
As many as one third of all men experience some form of difficulty during sexual activity, yet only a few take the step forward to seek treatment for the same. It can be embarrassing to discuss one's sexual problems with a physician but patients must understand that if this gives an effective solution in the end, it is well worth the effort.
Male sexual dysfunction can be described as any form of difficulty in the sexual activity that prevents the concerned man (or the couple) from experiencing satisfaction. Sexual activity can be divided into phases of excitement, plateau, orgasm and resolution and the problem can be related to any of these phases. The result can be any of the following: loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, ejaculation problems such as premature / retarded / retrograde ejaculation or absence of orgasm. The good news is that male sexual dysfunction is treatable with Ayurved Dr B K Kashyap and the response is we have been treating patients years now and have had good results in most cases. We strongly advocate
that patients share their concerns with their partner as well as the treating physician to get the best results. In addition, it is advisable that patients take adequate steps early on because seeking timely treatment can help to prevent any complications in their personal lives due to sexual dysfunction.

Typically sexual disorders in women are sterility, dyspareunia (painful sex) and vaginal dryness. Men commonly suffer from erectile dysfunctions and problems of premature ejaculation. Sexual disorders very often arise from psychological factors such as fear and incompatibility of partners. These disorders may also be precipitated by smoking, hormonal imbalances, diseases like mumps and diabetes and the prolonged use of drugs like contraceptive pills.
Conventional treatment may lead to various side effects. In women, blurred vision, tender breasts and depression is not uncommon. And in men it could lead to mental confusion, gastric problems, dizziness and headaches

Hi sir I had sex with unknown person one month before with condom (protected) only after 1 month I tested HIV RNA PCR...
As you said you have protected sex, chances of you get infected is almost zero. And as blood test pcr is negative that's good thing. Tri test is considered completely accurate at or after 3 month. If you test come negative at 3 month than you can be completely worry free.

Hi. I'm 14 and I'm so thin and my I have a heavy weight and I also experienced these symptoms, Nausea, breast tendern...
These are symptoms, girls at puberty time, 14 years of age do suffer from -delayed periods due to hormonal balance. To be on safer side, get ultrasound abdomen done, blood for thyroid functions, sugar, cbc & get back here with reports for more guidance. Yes continue eating rice, but do add fiber by eating more seasonal fruits and vegetables, a spoon of good fats like desi ghee/ butter & a katori of assorted nuts which will give you proteins and good fats and do take simple proteins like milk, curd & protein supplements & boiled eggs, as you are still a growing up young girl!

Most women after giving birth do not ovulate, and do not have menstrual periods in the months immediately after delivery [medspeak for the lack of periods: physiological amenorrhea]. This happens because the hormonal processes involved in breast milk production also affect the ovarian and the uterine (menstrual) cycles.
