I had sex on 7th and 9th and I'm not going to have sex again can I be pregnant because I gym also.

MD - Social & Preventive Medicine / Community Medicine
Epidemiologist, Hyderabad
If the days you had sex coincide with ovulation i.e release of egg from your ovary, then pregnancy is likely. If not you have to wait for the next ovulation day in next cycle. Gym has no relation to pregnancy.

My wife is feeling pain in her Vagina because of sex for one week. How to prevent with this. She's has already taken the medicine for that.

DGO, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Bangalore
Pain in vagina during intercourse may due to few common reasons like lack of lubrication, infection, unbroken hymen, endometriosis. So it is important to get an internal checkup done to come to a proper diagnosis. If its only due to lack of lubrication she can use lubic jelly before contact, but do not miss to contact doctor for a thorough check up.

You should get yourself treated properly for Irregular menses because there are plenty of reasons causing this problem. Menses at gaps of 2 months is definitely not normal unless you are at menopausal age. It is important to identify the correct reason and get it treated. Hormonal imbalance if left untreated will cause mood swings, weight gain, poor metabolism etc.

I am suffering from vaginal dryness. This is hampering my sex life even. Please suggest.

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- Vaginal dryness suggest weak body stature. Your internal lubricating glands are not healthy enough to produce proper fluid for lubrication. Use artificial lubricant gels during sex. Increase the amount of dairy products to help your lubrication internally. Drink milk with few drops of almond oil few minutes before sex. Massage you body daily with coconut oil. It will increase the internal lubrication fluid.

Here are some postpartum tips for mothers

Good morning everybody. I am Dr. Meenu Goyal, consultant obstetrician and gynecologist at Goyal Medical Center, Vasant Vihar. Today we are here to discuss the postpartum issues. Bringing home a new child is one of the happiest moment in a woman's life but with that comes emotional and physical challenges. Physically she may feel weak, she may feel be having sore breasts or hemorrhoids or fecal incontinence or constipation or the stitch line side pain or she can even have a vaginal discharge or the weight gain issues. Emotionally she may be Feeling the baby blues, the postpartum depression and as regarding the partner she might be having some struggles with her intimate life. The husband might want to pick up from where they left before the baby's arrival but a woman would be struggling through and would be craving more for a good night sleep.

So we ask the ladies to take care of her certain things, drink plenty of water at least two to three liters of water in summers and at least eight to ten glasses in winters. Also they should be taking care of their sleep. They should have a good night sleep. They should expect vaginal discharge. Consult your doctor in case you have fever, you have a painful menstruation or you are having problems in Menstruation, you have any swelling redness or pain or any kind of a fouls smelling discharge from your stretch line or you have any new belly pain or you have any kind of swelling tenderness or swelling in the legs or you have any problems with defecation like you have constipation or in case of any dirty discharge or any red colored discharged from your nipples.

Don't worry in case of any problem you just consult a gynecologist or you can chat with me or text me or email me or you can connect me through lybrate.com or at my clinic at Goyal Medical Center, Vasant Vihar.

Benefits of Ginger for Sexual Health

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Delhi
Benefits of Ginger for Sexual Health

Male impotence, also known as erectile dysfunction, is a common condition that most frequently affects older men. Unless the problem is psychological, the inability to achieve or maintain an erection is due to insufficient blood supply to the penis, not a lack of sexual arousal. Herbs such as ginger may help. However, since impotence may signal a more serious disorder, including cardiovascular disease or diabetes, check with your doctor before pursuing self-treatment.

Improved Circulation

Kathi Keville and Peter Korn, authors of "Herbs for Health and Healing," contend that poor circulation may cause impotence in men because damaged or impaired blood vessels simply fail to fill with blood and expand. They also say that certain herbs, such as ginger, may help to increase dilation in blood vessels and improve circulation.

Aroma and Flavor

In his book, "Herbal Aphrodisiacs from Around the World," Clarence Meyer says that the same agents that lend ginger its medicinal properties are also responsible for stimulating arousal due to the warm, spicy scent and taste they impart. In fact, in Asian and Arabic cultures, the fragrance of ginger alone is regarded an aphrodisiac. Ginger is even referenced in the "Kama Sutra," the ancient Indian Hindu text dedicated to the art of giving and receiving sexual pleasure.

Ginger Moxa

Ginger moxa is a therapy used in Chinese medicine to treat impotence that marries the properties of ginger with practice of moxibustion, a technique that involves burning selected herbs at various acupuncture points along the body. Usually, the herb of choice is mugwort, the leaves of which are rolled into a "moxa stick" much like a cigar. With ginger moxa, a thick slice of ginger becomes the insulation between the moxa stick and the skin. The ginger is pierced with a few small holes into which the moxa sticks are placed, and the sticks are allowed to burn down just far enough to produce perspiration and redness on the skin. The procedure is typically repeated several times in succession.
