Is a single contact with leprosy infected person is sufficient for infection and in how many days the earlier symptoms occur of get infected what are the earlier symptoms of leprosy.

Is a single contact with leprosy infected person is sufficient for infection and in how many days the earlier symptom...
No, casual or even prolonged skin touch doesn't cause spread of Leprosy bacteria. Leprosy is thought to be transmitted via droplets from the nose and mouth during close prolonged contact with affected individuals, though the exact route of transmission has yet to be proven definitively. Not all individuals infected with M. Leprae will go on to develop leprosy, because only 5%-10% of the population is thought to be susceptible to the infection because of immunological reasons. And it's completely curable disease now.

Can anyone help me how to get rid of under arms bad smell because everyday I take bath but still it smells.

BHMS, Certified in Aesthetic Skin Treatments, Certified in Applied Behaviour Analysis

Can anyone help me how to get rid of under arms bad smell because everyday I take bath but still it smells.
Sweat itself is virtually odorless, bacteria use it as a breeding ground and multiply rapidly. What you smell is the products related to bacteria breakdown of keratin protein on the surface of your skin. When you work out or move around in the heat or sun, your body produces sweat. Sweating is the body’s way of regulating temperature. When sweat meets the bacteria on the surface of your skin, it produces an odor. That smell is what we call body odor. If you want to be "odor-free" consider the following tips: 1.Apply an antiperspirant at bedtime. This gives the product a chance to work while you sleep and are not sweating. If you apply antiperspirants after showering in the morning, the sweat you accumulate will wash away the product and render you defenseless against daytime sweating. Remember, deodorants do not prevent sweating. They mainly mask the smell of the sweat on your skin. Antiperspirants are chemical agents that reduce sweating. Many antiperspirant preparations also contain a deodorant, which helps to mask the smell. Check the product you use to make sure it contains an antiperspirant. 2.Try a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water to fight body odor. Use 1 teaspoon of peroxide (3%) to 1 cup (8 ounces) of water. Wipe this on affected areas (underarm, feet, etc.) with a washcloth. This may help destroy some of the bacteria that creates odor. 3.Change your diet. Sometimes, fatty foods, oils, or strong-smelling foods such as garlic, curry, and onions, can seep through your pores and cause body odor (always see your doctor or dietician before making drastic dietary changes). 4.Shaving your underarm regularly will help prevent the accumulation of bacteria and can reduce sweat and odor. The best way to fight body odor is through prevention. Proper hygiene like washing well and applying an underarm antiperspirant or deodorant should be enough. If you have excessive sweating talk to your doctor. There are a few treatment options for those with more severe sweating who desire more aggressive treatments. Also, certain medical problems can lead to excessive sweating. Your doctor can make a diagnosis and prescribe treatment. You can consult me online via Lybrate for homeopathic medicines. Made of natural substances and completely safe with no side effects, Homeopathic medicines are given after taking note of unique individual symptoms. Your feedback matters. Thank-you.

Why do dark circles occur and what precautions can we take to prevent dark circles?

Why do dark circles occur and what precautions can we take to prevent dark circles?
Hereditary, aging, dryness of skin, too much of crying, working for long hours on screen, mental or physical stress, lack of sleep and unhealthy diet plan are some reasons of dark circles. Follow the tips they will help u:: 1. Boil two green tea bags in one-half cup of water for 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and cool them in the refrigerator for half an hour. Put the cold tea bags over your eyes for about 15 minutes. Follow this remedy twice daily for at least 10 days to get positive results. 2.Lightly massage five or six drops of almond oil into the delicate skin under the eyes before going to bed. Leave it on overnight and wash it off with cold water the next morning. Follow this remedy daily until the dark circles disappear almost entirely. 3.Alternatively, mix five or six drops of almond oil with one tablespoon of raw honey. Apply it carefully on the skin under the eyes before going to bed. Leave it on overnight and then wash with lukewarm water the next morning. Repeat daily until you get the desired results.....

I m 29 year women I have combination skin. What should I do to became healthy nd glowing nd which face wash nd cream ...
Everyone has a favourite face cream or treatment, but beautiful skin starts with nourishment from within. Older cells are constantly shed and replaced by younger ones and a steady supply of micronutrients is essential to support this rapid growth. Eat the correct balance of foods and you'll feed your skin the vital nutrients it needs to help it stay soft, supple and blemish-free. Eat your five-a-day Fruit and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants that help to protect skin from the cellular damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are caused by smoking, pollution and sunlight and can cause wrinkling and age spots. Eat a rainbow of colourful fruit and vegetables and aim for at least five portions a day. Betacarotene, found in pumpkin, carrots and sweet potatoes, and lutein, found in kale, papaya and spinach are potent antioxidants, important for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone. Vitamin C Vitamin C is also a super antioxidant. It is needed for a strong immune system, radiant skin and helps blemishes heal properly. The best sources are blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes. They all help to produce collagen that strengthens the capillaries that supply the skin. Cut out crash diets Repeatedly losing and regaining weight can take its toll on your skin, causing sagging, wrinkles and stretch marks. Crash diets are often short in essential vitamins too. Over long periods of time this type of dieting will reflect on your skin. Stock up on selenium Selenium is a powerful antioxidant. It works alongside other antioxidants such as vitamins E and C and is essential for the immune system. Studies suggest that a selenium-rich diet can help to protect against skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. One way to boost your intake is to eat Brazil nuts. Just four nuts will provide the recommended daily amount (RDA). Mix Brazil nuts with other seeds rich in vitamin E as a snack or salad sprinkle. Other good sources are fish, shellfish, eggs, wheatgerm, tomatoes and broccoli. Vitamin E Vitamin E protects skin from oxidative (cell) damage and supports healthy skin growth. Foods high in vitamin E include almonds, avocado, hazelnuts, pine nuts and sunflower and corn oils. Drink up Skin needs moisture to stay flexible. Even mild dehydration will cause your skin to look dry, tired and slightly grey. Drink six to eight glasses of water a day - all fluids count towards your daily allowance, but water is the best. If you work in an office, keep a large bottle of water on your desk to remind you to drink. Herbal, caffeine-free teas are good too. Try to avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, both can age the skin. Don't be afraid of fat Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats - the types found in avocados, fish, nuts and seeds - provide essential fatty acids which act as a natural moisturiser for your skin, keeping it supple. These fats also come packaged with a healthy dose of vitamin E (a vitamin many of us lack), which will help protect against free radical damage. Eat more phyto-estrogens Phyto-estrogens are natural chemicals found in plant foods (phyto meaning plant). They have a similar structure to the female sex hormone oestrogen and have been found to help keep our natural hormones in balance. There are different types, some are found in soya bean products (isoflavones), whereas others are found in the fibre of wholegrains, fruit, vegetables and flax seeds (lignans). Include phyto-estrogen rich soya, wholegrains, fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced diet. Opt for omega-3 Make sure you get enough omega-3 and omega-6 fats. These are essential fatty acids which mean they cannot be made in the body and must be obtained through the diet. You will find omega-3s in oily fish and plant sources such as flaxseed oil, linseeds, walnut and rapeseed oil. Omega-3 fats encourage the body to produce anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help skin, particularly inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psorasis. Go for low-GI carbs Eat plenty of beans, pulses, porridge and other slow-releasing carbohydrates. These release sugar into the blood stream gradually, providing you with a steady supply of energy and leaving you feeling satisfied for longer and therefore less likely to snack. Avoid high GI carbohydrates like biscuits and sugary drinks, as they lead to production of insulin, which may damage collagen and accelerate wrinkles. Don't forget zinc Zinc is involved in the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands in the skin (which produce oil) and helps to repair skin damage and keep skin soft and supple. Zinc-rich foods include fish, lean red meat, wholegrains, poultry, nuts, seeds and shellfish. HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT WHITENING CREAM ( BIOVALLEY)Apply in circular fashion in morning nd at night WHITENING SOAP ( BIOVALLEY ) Wassh face with this face wash before applying whitening cream SUNCARE CREAM ( BAKSON ) Apply 30 minutes before going outsside nd again reapply after 3-4 hrss after washing with whitening soap

darkening of skin happens due to excessive melanin production when u expose to sunlight.its a bodys self defence mechanism to protect deeper layers of ur skin.if u r sure if its due to tanning then apply sunscreen with minimum spf 50 containing zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.dont opt for any skin lightening cream as it may cause further darkening after few days.keep yourself hydrated .apply aloe vera with lemon juice at night for half n hour.wash with lukewarm water.

Causes and cosmetic treatment for Acne scars

Hello! I am Dr. Jolly Shah practicing Dermatologist and cosmetologist. I practice in Mumbai. We are going to have a word about coping with Acne scars.

Acne is one of the common problem faced by the teenager's even middle aged females and males nowadays and it is a very irritating problem because it leaves behind very dirty marks and scars. If it were left alone then the marks and scars wouldn't be there because of pricking and breaking of the boils. Dirty marks pits or scars as we call them are left behind. Sometimes very big pustular acne on their own also can leave behind scars. It is very easy to take care of acne. But it is very difficult to take care of scars. The definitely affect one's self confidence and also in your day to day life it will affect your activities as well. Lot of importance is given to one's own look nowadays. So a clear face is very important.

Modern medicine offers a lot of modalities in the treatment for the same. The simplest one are peels in which specific medicines are applied on the face and that takes off the top most layers of the skin thereby taking care of the marks as well. There is another advance thing in this that is known as oxygen peel. That also refreshes the skin in addition to reduce the formation of new acne as well. The next step in this is microdermabrasion that also uses either power crystals. Or it is going to use a diamond tip to remove the top dead layers of the skin. This again also with its suction action open up all the pores that are there and also open up all the commodores.

The third step in this is usually micro needling. Now this is a procedure which goes in depth trying to clear of the marks and scars from the depth. It is required sometimes and numbing cream. The instrument itself has got multiple needles on a barrel which is rolled on to the skin to regenerate from the below and thereby help in the lift up of the scars. This requires multiple sessions but the results are very beautiful. The state of our treatment for acne scars is fractional carbon dioxide laser resurfacing. Now this is a laser that can penetrate right up to the depth of the skin where the scars are formed. It can break of the fibrous bands which is holding the skin below and lift them from below itself. Now this laser can treat the superficial part as well as the deeper part thereby giving a complete clearing of acne its marks and its scars.

The treatment option will depend on the individual what they want what you want what final result is desired by both. Also the target is important the skin type also the work type of the patient is also important. Also one of the most important things that does matter in this will be the time duration and definitely not to mention the cost factor. Because none of these procedures are going to be covered by any med claim or an insurance policy since these are all the cosmetic procedures.

I am 26 years old female. I have dark circle problem from many years. I aplied proactive eye serum but after stop applying this serum. Dark circles again appear. It dosen't look like please tell me permanent solution.

Diploma in homeopathy, B. Sc
Homeopath, Gurgaon
A permanent solution would be your diet, exercise and healthy living. Your diet must include fresh fruits and a full serving of salads at every meal: cucumber, tomato, carrot, radish, onion slices or spring onion, raw cauliflower, cabbage leaf, etc. All this is essential. Cut out any junk food and aerated drinks totally. Generally foods that come out of a packet, can, or bottle shud be avoided. Exercise to increase circulation:- 2 mins of hard exercise then 1 min rest - do this four times a day. You can either do it all in one go or split it into sessions through the day. In total it is only 12 mins a day so should not be a big issue. In short, live and eat healthy and you will develop energy, a glowing skin and a'go' in life -regardless of age. And in a healthy body even a little medicine will do wonders.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

I am a 23 years old male and I have a blackheads in my nose. what to do? Please help me.
The eruption of pimples, black heads and oily face are due to excessive sebum secreted by sebaceous glands and hair follicles especially on the face.. Precautions- * Don't scratch or pinch your pimples This will cause more damage and scars. . * Avoid fried and oily foods. * Prefer fruits and green vegetables. * When you apply any cream, sun screen and the like, clean your face at the earliest, so that there will be no adverse action of the chemicals on the delicate skin of face. Your skin ‘breaths’ through its pores which are not to be closed for long.
