Problem can be because of external middle or inner ear disease or even a complication of uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.

Your guess is right. It is allergy. Take proper antiallergic treatment after consultation with an ent surgeon.

You are having type 1diabetes and allergy. Keep diabetes mellitus and allergy under control. Hearing aid is a good solution for your problem.
