Hello. Take hair vitamin tab follihair after dinner for 3 months. Please use salisia kt or scalpe shampoo for head bath thrice a week for a month and then as maintenance at least once a week for 2 months. Avoid oiling as fungus thrives in oily scalp. You could 1 hr prior to head bath.

How to identify vitiligo. I have consulted three doctors and all of them have said that depigmented patches is because of sun allergy. I have been taking multivitamin tablet for a month and have been regularly using sunscreen and scarf still the depigmentation area is continuously increasing. I'm really confused and scared that this might be vitiligo.

MBBS, D.V.D.
Dermatologist, Ahmedabad
The difference between Vitiligo and sun allergy is the sun allergy will mostly occur in area with direct sun exposure whereas vitiligo occurs anywhere on the body. If the hair in the depigmented patches also turns white then vitiligo is your problem. Along with sunscreen and scarf a mild steroid is also required for a short period of time to combat a sun allergy.

In general, most cases of fatigue \weakness \ laziness may be attributed to three areas: lifestyle factors, medical conditions or psychological problems. A thorough assessment is needed in all three factors to get to the actual cause of weakness. Your diet and day to day life style also is very crucial for right diagnosis.

Respiratory Illnesses And Diseases

MBBS, MD - Pulmonary Medicine
Pulmonologist, Noida
Play video

Hello Everyone!

This is Dr. Manish Sahu.I'm a pulmonologist. I am a generalphysician practicing in Sector 104 Noida and Sector 61Noida.

Aaj mein kuch baat aapko is video ke madhyam se kehna chahta hu especially being a chestspecialist main kuch respiratorydisease ke baare me aapko batana chahta hu jaise ki aapne suna hoga asthma Jise hindi me dama kehte hai.Ye bohot common misconception ki ye theek ho jata hai ya kabhi kabhi dawai leni padti hai. Mein aapko ye baat batana chahta hu ki jis tarah se diabetes andhypertension jisko sugar ki beemari or blood pressure ki beemari bolte hai isme aapko dawai puri jindgi leni padti hai aise hi asthama ka koi puri tarah se ilaz nahi hua. Aapko iski dawai leni padti hai, aapko isko control me rakhna padta hai. Issi tarah tuberculosis ke baare me ek baat mein aapko batana chahta hu. Generally logo ko lagta hai ki tuberculosis sirf lower class ke logo me paaya jata hai ya gareeb logo me paaya jata hai but esa kuch nahi hai. India me tuberculosis bhot jyda matra me paaya jata hai or ye kisi ko bhi ho sakta hai mein aap kisi ko bhi. Aur asal me ye sirf ek lower socioeconomic status me paya jata hai. Ye higher socioeconomicstatus me bhi paya jaata hai lekin there is one thing ki hum Delhi NCR area me rhte hai. Main aapko batana chahta hu ki aaj kal jo pollution levels hai yaha pe ye kafi dangerous hai or aapko pata bhi nahi hai ki ye aapke lungs ko kis tarah se effect karte hai. From past one and half year practicing in Noida and Delhi I can tell you about ki jin logo ki ye khasi ki beemari 5 din me theek ho jati thi ab ise theek hone me 10-15 din lagte hai. Theyneed more consultation, more money, moremedications and still they are nottotally relief. So these are the thingsthat is affecting our lungs, the pollution theparticular matters. So you have to takecare of that and you have to take somePrecautions. And then there is onetopic called sleep apnea jo aaj kal bhot jyada chl raha hai. Sleep apnea kya hai jab ham sote time kharate lete hai bohot to hamari neend kabhi kabhi beech me udti hai isme neend ke jyada tutne se hamare heart pe bhot jyada pressure padta hai or isme diabetes hone ki chances jyada hoti hai. Diabetes heart pe stroke hone ke chances jyada hote hai, cardiac disease hone ke chance jyada hote hai to ham sleep studies karke aaj kal dekh lete hai ki kiski sleep kitni hai uski remedies kitni hai.

Agar apki koi bhi query hai, agar aap consultation chahte hai to mera clinic Sector 104 me bhi hai, Sector 61 me bhi hai.

How Is Adhesive Capsulitis Treated?

How Is Adhesive Capsulitis Treated?

Adhesive capsulitis: an overview
If you are taken aback by the very mention of this condition, you must know this is something you face every now and then. The problem is not too serious until it persists and hence people do not bother to look up terrifying medical terms for the case. Adhesive capsulitis or frozen shoulder is a condition that could arise from a host of reasons. It is usually characterized by a marked stiffness in and around the shoulder blade felt either in the middle of the night, early in the morning or while trying to move a hand close to the end of its reach. Frozen shoulder might become a chronic problem in which case remedying it takes a minimum of one or two years.

Factors leading to Adhesive capsulitis

  1. This condition is prevalent amongst patients of diabetes.
  2. Lack of movement of a limb, either of the two hands, due to a fracture or a surgery can result in the same.
  3. Adhesive capsulitis occurs when the capsule of connective tissues ensconcing the ligaments and bones of your shoulder joint tightens around them hindering free and easy movement.

How is Adhesive Capsulitis Treated?
There are various treatments for adhesive capsulitis. Even though the condition usually gets better on its own, improvement can take two to three years. Over 90% of patients improve with non-surgical treatments, including the following:

  1. Physical therapy
  2. Heat
  3. Corticosteroid injections
  4. Anti-inflammatory medications

Surgery can be performed for patients who see no improvement after non-surgical measures are taken.

How is subacromial bursitis different from Adhesive capsulitis?

While a frozen shoulder affects your entire shoulder area, subacromial bursitis affects a single point in the shoulder blade. The topmost boney part of the shoulder blade is referred to as the acromion. The acromion is placed above the ball- and- socket joint without touching the bones directly. The subacromial bursa is a soft cushion like thing that prohibits friction between the muscles or tendons of the shoulder joint and the acromion. An irritable subacromial bursa is referred to as subacromial bursitis.

How is Subacromial Bursitis Treated?

Subacromial Bursitis can be treated in a number of ways, including:

  1. Avoiding activities that aggravate the problem
  2. Resting the injured area
  3. Icing the area the day of the injury
  4. Taking over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medicines
  5. What do you mean by rotator cuff tear?

Rotator cuff is a group of tendons and muscles located on top of the upper arm bone or humerus. The cuff helps to hold your arm in place allowing easy movement. Acute stress or physical exertion can lead to muscle cramps or might even make the tendons tear apart. Tennis players, swimmers, or people lifting heavy weights are prone to Rotator Cuff Tear. This condition leads to excruciating pain and tenderness in your shoulder blade.

What's the Treatment for a Rotator Cuff Tear?

As bad as these injuries can be, the good news is that many rotator cuff tears heal on their own. You just need to give them a little time. You also should:

  1. Rest the joint as much as possible. Avoid any movement or activity that hurts. You may need a sling.
  2. Ice your shoulder two to three times a day to reduce pain and swelling.
  3. Perform range-of-motion exercises, if your doctor recommends them.
  4. Consider physical therapy to strengthen the joint.
  5. Use anti-inflammatory painkillers, or NSAIDS, like Advil, Aleve, or Motrin.

More serious rotator cuff tears require surgery. One procedure is shoulder arthroscopy, usually an outpatient procedure. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Orthopedist.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Hypothyroidism is a thyroxine hormone deficiency disease as your thyroid is unable to produce adequate amount of that hormone. This hormone is needed for day to day metabolic activities and functioning of brain. Hence it needs to be supplemented daily for lifetime. I do not understand why was the treatment stopped. As regards the enlargement of lymph nodes, that needs to be properly examined by your physician or a surgeon. If need be further investigations need to be done. But stopping levothyroxine is not good. Thanks.
