Dear Lybrateuser, - Give rest to the affected limb, use a support like a crutch to avoid pressure on the foot - apply ice pack for 5-10 min, 2-3 times a day to reduce pain & swelling, elevate limb while sitting, apply pain relief gel & pressure bandage - take pain relief tablet 2-3 times a day after meals if pain is more - do x- ray of the affected foot to rule out any bony injury.

Calf Stretches Standing calf stretch Stand away from a wall and.put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day. Downward dog yoga stretch Get down on all fours with your hands under your shoulders on the floor. Walk your hands forward slightly on the floor. Spread your fingers apart to allow for a broad base of support. Push your hips up toward the ceiling and tighten your abdominal muscles. Keep your heels on the ground and gently try and straighten your knees. Repeat 10 times a twice a day. Wall calf stretch Stand about two feet away from a wall. Place the ball of your right foot against the wall while your heel remains on the ground. Slowly and gently lean into the wall while keeping your knee straight. Hold this for 5 seconds. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

There is a pain in my joints due to chikungunya. Now after a month I had a pain in finger, joints etc. Even I can't lift my laptop properly from the bag. Due to laptop's weight. I can't lift any type of weight. What should I do to remove this pain? Please suggest?

Hello lybrate-user, thank you for contacting me. After chikungunia sometimes pain remains in joints for prolonged time. You should start some general exercise like stretching and warm up activity. I hope this will help you.

Do have regular stretches for joints for 15 min of regular timing have calcium rich natural food source for pain have hot and cold fomentation for 15 min duration each for 10 days.
