It could be due to deficiency of Vitamin D3. Get your blood examined for Vitamin d3 and follow the advice and treatment

Sir, having severe thyroid problem tsh level is 8.50 and I am taking 50 mg tab thyronorm. Even then level is not coming down feeling tired and back bone ,knees and legs are paining vitamins n calcium if any I don't know Dr. kindly help. Plz.

You are not getting enough thyronorm and that is why your tsh is elevated. Please increase your thyronorm dose to 75 microgram. Also take it first thing in am and do not eat for 1/2 hour after taking the medicine. Have your tsh checked in 6 weeks. This should take care of most of your symptoms. Let us see how you do on this.

I met with an accident in 2012 I had shoulder injury that time. I went for x-ray and all relevant procedures doctors said all is well no fracture and not any other problems are shown in your report there was little swelling it will heal within week. But later on I started facing problems in my right shoulder constant paining, stiffness, problem in rotation etc.

It is called as peri arthritis shoulder and for that you can do hot water fermentation and ice therapy at home. If you have shoulder pain then the stiffness will develop more that might make the arm to have less improvement which might make you to feel more pain the arm. And also cervical pillow can be used which might make you to have better posture of the shoulder neck and arm.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

I was playing cricket today. Suddenly my left feet has been slip I feel back pain to much. After it I concert to a doctor he told me to take rest for 7 days. After take 6 to 7 hrs rest I am unable to stand. What should I do. Does I need more check up. Kindle suggest.

Apply ice to your back or use hot water and cold water simultaneously to your back, with squeezing hand towel first in very hot water and keep it till it gets cool and than immidiately dip that other hand towel to cold water bowel and applly it. Continue this process for 10 min. Repeat every 3 hours.- you will definately get recoverd in 2 days. - ifpain still persist consult orthopaedic and physiotherapist for full assessment. - do take pain killer in incresed pain.(prescribed by doc) - take rest and avoid forward bending of spine, any jerky movement.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You seem to be having thigh strain which is very common if you exert too much while training, the answer is to stop all your physical activities till your pain subsides, start gentle anti inflammatory medications for 7-10 days, ice packs at home, limb elevation especially if it is associated with swelling, physical therapy focusing on scientific muscle training, pre activity warm up and gradual stretching of muscles before physical activity. You should also focus on increasing your physical activity gradually in a step wise manner so that muscles do not get fatigued and are adequately strengthened over a period of time. My mother is 45-46 years old. Her ankle swells most of the times and she feels pain for the same. Sometimes after taking medicines it goes away. But again it comes back. She has been suffering from this pain since many years. Her elbow joints on both the hands are also suffering from same kind of issues. Please suggest is there any kind of exercises she should do to avoid such pains / issues as she and we have lost faith on medicines and all. And also please let us know, should she avoid any such diets or foods which might be triggering such issues /pains in her body.

Hi initially, tell her to rest 1) apply cold pack or ice pack for 20 min. At every 2 hrs. 2) keep her ankle elevated by placing pillow under ankle. 3) wrap elastic bandage around ankle which you can learn from physiotherapist. Also ultrasound therapy will be good for her. And for elbow you have not given enough information do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.
