Depending on what ayurvedic medicines are, sometimes they damage liver and kidneys because of heavy metals like lead in them (same thing fir which maggi was banned) Also make sure that sugars are controlled. You can always discuss with your doctor

It might be due to varicose veins. Try doing leg exercises and do elevate your legs by keeping 2 pillows.

For neck. Avoid computer work. Avoid strain. Do physiotherapy treatment like ultrasonic therapy and SWD. Avoid heavy weight. Do stretching exercises if possible.

Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I am 34 years old female, and weigh almost 69 kgs and my height is 5.4 ft .therefore I believe am 15 kgs overweight. I am a pure Vegetarian. I was 54 before pregnancy and put almost 20 Kgs. After delivery and my daughter now 5 years I still weigh 69 kgs. My body seems to be moderately sized however all the fat lies around my hip. I am a good dancer (free style) and have been working for over 17 years hailing from Mumbai and have been active always but off lately am having neck pains, chest and rib pains and the whole of left side .which I guess is due to acidity. I definitely wanted to follow a balanced diet and reduce some weight desperately. Off latterly am having sleep distractions as well. Request your suggestions and advice urgently. Thanks

For weight loss kindly follow these tips: 1. Have small frequent meals instead of 2-3 large ones 2. Eat slowly chewing your food well 3. Avoid junk/ processed/canned/ready to eat/ street/ outside/fried/sugary foods, soft, hard & energy drinks, glucose, chocolate, ice cream, sweets, candies 4. Replace simple carbs- sugar, sabudana, potato, refined grains (white rice, white bread, maida, noodles, biscuit, cake) with complex carbs- whole grains (brown rice, atta bread, dalia, suji, oats, atta, jowar, barley, quinoa), whole legumes (soyabean, peas, rajma, sprouts), whole fruits, vegetables, nuts oilseeds, lean meat(fish/chicken/egg) 5. Brisk walk daily for at least 30 mins, practice pranayam & kapalbhati, walk instead of hiring transport, take 15 mins light walk post meals, do not lie down within 1 hr of a meal, avoid sleeping in afternoon

Hello lybrate-user it seems that your mother is suffering from varicose veins with secondary infection of hair follicles. It is very dangerous condition as it can lead to ulcers, gangrene of foot. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines1. Calc fluor 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2. Rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. *use a small pillow. *take rest or move about once in 1-2 hours in case of working in a constant position. *maintain a good posture while reading or working with computers. *take a high fibre content diet like vegetables, fruits, etc. *don't lift heavy weight. *don't put hands under the head while sleeping.

Hi thanks for your query. Frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis is a condition in which shoulder movements get progressively decreased, it is commonly associated with diabetes although association with other conditions is also known. Treatment includes intensive physical therapy, short course anti inflammatory medications according to one' s suitability and maintenance of calcium/ vitamin d metabolism. Hello lybrate user, back pain is very common in sedentary lifestyle where you have to sit all day long to work in an attention position. This is usually due to a spasm in the muscles around your vertebral column (commonly reffered to as paraspinal muscles) medicines, hot water fomentation and physiotherapy will help you to deal with the condition. More importantly it is to maintain a healthy lifestyle by exercising regularly and eating healthier on a daily basis. 1 percent improvement a day must be sought, that will contribute to around 30 percent over a month. There are lots of treatments available in Physiotherapy. Like swd, u.s.i.f.t.dry needle, and cupping therapy. But you should improve your posture. Avoid forward bending. Your heel posture is not in right direction on weight bearing. Due to weak calf muscle, flat foot. Don't worry do these steps:- 1. For pain relief use hot water bottle take your foot on bottle and gentle push and move forward backward massage for 5min. 2. Stand on toes of both legs for 10 counts then relaxe do it for 15 times. 3. Ankle stretching by towel 5 times. 4. If arch of your foot soul is reduce then use arch orthotics.

Sir, I amAn 38year old man. I am having pain in my right knee from 10 yrs. Knee joint are opening and closing with Sound. It was started with swelling on right knee with pain. After taking IRR/SWD it relieve pain. It gives much problem during winter and rainy season. Constipation and gas comes oftenly. I have used steroids during my skin treatment in 2002.
